Dr. Mario Toledo-Couret, MD

I wish I could leave negative stars on this man. Worst experience I have ever had. Started with him screaming curse words in the hallway before entering my room. He was condescending and beyond rude. Didn’t explain what was happening (which I found out later was a miscarriage) and spent 30 seconds in my room telling me I’m not pregnant. Asked about the 6 positive tests I’ve taken and his response was ‘those aren’t accurate. My test is accurate.’ Shrugged his shoulders on the way out and said ‘sorry I know how bad you want to be pregnant.’ The man had met me for 2 minutes and had no clue what I desired. He made me feel like a liar and a mental patient. Went to another dr and blood hcg tests confirmed the pregnancy and miscarriage. Save yourself some heartache, and find another doctor with an ounce of compassion, because this guy is not it.

I went in after passing a 9cm by 3cm piece of tissue. Dr. Toledo didn't look at it and chose to refer to it as a blood clot in a rather patronizing manner. Rather than doing a routine ultrasound to ensure all of the tissue passed his concern was in doing a routine pap (I had just had one done, so it wasn't needed) and ensuring me I wasn't pregnant. My appointment was 3 weeks ago and it appears the tissue was never actually sent off based on lack of proof from both his office and my insurance. Medical gaslighting and lack of care is what I experienced. Just drive to Lubbock. I'd also like it noted that I have worked in medical offices as well as previously being a nursing student. I was not treated correctly.

Dr. Toledo delivered my sister. This man is missing a very integral part of being a doctor. Bedside manner (or any manners for that matter) are not a priority. What I witnessed , was him treating his patient like a number and not a human being. His presence made welcoming a new baby into the world very stressful. I definitely would not recommend him.

A lot of bad things have been spread about Dr Toledo, however I have had nothing but great experiences with him! I saw him for the prenatal care & birth of my 3rd child, and walked in expecting the rudeness that he supposedly gives to all overweight patients, however he not once mentioned my weight! He was knowledgable through my whole pregnancy with any questions, and he was amazing during my delivery! He was joking around, which helped ease the tension a bit during delivery. 100% amazing!

Kind. Has great bedside manner. Always made me feel comfortable. Very knowledgeable.

Probably the worst gynecologist I've ever seen. I had a colposcopy done and during the procedure he called me a "good boy" then corrected himself to "good girl". When they called with the biopsy results it was just "it was abnormal" and wanted to schedule me for a more invasive biopsy. Also found out I had miscarried the same year and the first question out of their mouths were "so, would you like to start on birth control?". Avoid if you can. There isn't much of a variety in Carlsbad.

After my first 2 min visit I can easily say that he is the most incompetent person I have ever dealt with in the medical world. Strongly NOT recommended!!! Run ladies!!

Front office is so rude, unfriendly, made me feel like a imposition rather than a welcomed new patient. I wound up leaving after finding out from another patient they were an hour behind so not to rush with the paperwork. When I made appointment I asked about bringing my toddler. The response was that would be okay, yet every door, window, and wall said do not being children they may carry detrimental diseases! Lord I hope not because then I'm a carrier of that and disease!!!! Horrible Horrible
