Dr O’Brien is a nice person but she had me on the wrong meds for 1 1/2 years. I was in a lot of pain at the time and she didn’t seem to care. When she couldn’t figure out what my problem was she started pushing me off on her physicians assistant. Then all my follow up visits with her kept getting cancelled and rescheduled for 3 months later. She pretty much stopped seeing me because she couldn’t figure out what my problem was. I finally switched to Dr. Sharim at the Bethlehem office and she knew what my problem was right away. I’m now on the right meds thanks to Dr. Sharim. Don’t waste your time with Dr. O’Brien.

Excellent doctor. She prescribed a med for me that might interfere with my kidney ( I had one removed 12 years ago). My problem was the gout. She had me get blood work every 3-6 months. I haven't had the gout since then, and she looked after my kidney better than my kidney doctor. I have since moved to Florida and can only say she is the best doctor I have ever had.

Dr. O’Brien is kind and caring. She goes to lengths to find a problem and relief for it. She listens and understands what I explain. She is highly intelligent and excellent at recognizing rare diseases. She doesn’t pile on prescriptions like many doctors do. She will try to help with anything that I am experiencing even if it may not be the reason for my appointment.

Upon work-up for RA, my wife was also diagnosed with active hepatitis virus. Instead of attempting to work with a gastroenterology specialist to treat both conditions, this physician refused to see my wife again -- instead, she discharged my wife from her practice "until you clear the virus". Specialists from another hospital have since been working together to simultaneously treat the hepatitis AND RA. Bottom line: this physician appears to want only easy cases.

Dr Marie is a great rheumatologist and was the first to really help me after a 10 year horror story of Pain meds and misdiagnosis. She is caring, thorough, and sympathetic. She truly cares. I only got to see her a few times before my insurance was no longer accepted by her group, but she gave me hope and a quality of life even just for a while. I was up and out of my wheelchair and really making progress. She was hands down the best rheumatologist I have ever seen.

I've been struggling with major life changing pain issues and have been to many doctors.Some say Lyme,some say fibromyalgia.Dr O'Brien is the first doctor that I've visited that gives me the confidence to know that there is an answer and valid reason for my issues.Faith restored!
