Dr. Maria Young, MD

I have seen this physician for the past 15 years. She has been truly amazing, both in terms of catching unusual issues, as well as being empathetic to me and my parents. My parents have both passed on now, but she was their doctor as well. I gladly pay for her services. Not only do I pain for her services, but I moved in an hour away and I drive more than an hour to see her. I will continue to do so. She is very worth it.

She and her nurse practitioner were my GPs for many years and seemed to always listen and care , until I started complaining of very specific health problems that she and her nurse prac. both neglected for years . They both blamed everything on "anxiety". I begged to have my back imaged properly. Despite having actual thyroid disease, with nodules, she never once ordered an ultrasound on my thyroid, refused to even give me a referral to endocrinology, and refused to order MRI imaging of my back . Then she abruptly left the practice I was at and left me high and dry without a GP. Surprise , 4 years later when I finally got into endocrinology, they found new and also old but greatly enlarged nodules on my thyroid, put me on proper medicine, oh, and I had a severely herniated disc resulting in cauda equina syndrome. I also ended up having a cholecystectomy, symptoms I complained about for years under her care and never a gastro referral or attempt to check my gallbladder

She has been my primary care doctor for five years. Over the last two years she has changed and appointments with her are canceled by her nurse. I am always referred to a nurse practitioner. I have not seen her for an appointment in over a year.
