Dr. Villamil is the one doctor at NYU Langone that paid attention to the indicator in my blood work after 6 years that showed I had a genetic bone condition (ignored by other doctors even AFTER I had broken bones) and figured out what was going on with me. She is a very smart doctor and a caring person. After 2 NYU primaries, 3 NYU gynos, and 2 endocrinologists dismissed my symptoms and ignored bloodwork results (why do they even do the bloodwork if they are going to ignore it?!), Dr. Villamil did just a tiny bit of research and figured-out not only my genetic issue, but also my normal hormonal changes. I had to push past all these other doctors and came to her thinking that I had a thyroid issue initially. I do not know where I would be without her. She has improved the quality of my life tremendously. The staff at NYU are not great. You do have to get past them to get to her. NYU over schedules her. So you may have to follow-up, but she's worth it!

Wouldn't consider going back to her nor referring her to anyone. Not sure if she's totally to blame or the ineptness of the staff. I brought this to her attention when i finally got in to see her. She was not aware of her staff issues. Doctors today are too focused on the dollar signs and not patient care. She was not my original choice for endocrinologist but the Dr I wanted was booked, so i went with Dr Jarauta. Didn't find her to be too knowledgeable or really concerned.

Easily my most favorite doctor. She is as knowledgeable and skillful as she is passionate and caring. A true credit to her profession and specialty. With her care and guidance I was able to successfully take control of my overall health and diabetes. On behalf of my family and I, thank you.
