Dr. Maria Keanchong, MD

I would never recommend this dr to anyone I know. I had a miscarriage early in the morning and bled so much I went to the ER. The ER did not come right out and tell me I had miscarried. Her office had me come in later that morning and I sat with her APN who was very sweet and professional to tell me the results of my ultrasound from the ER. I later got billed my copay for this 10 minute conversation which I think is rediculous but the worst part is that when I went to a follow up appointment post miscarriage about 2 weeks later Dr Kean Chong walks in and says ok mom are we ready to hear the heartbeat? I couldn’t even speak. She must have noticed my heartbroken face then looked again in the chart. She then admitted she had “forgotten” her APN had told her I miscarried. If she perhaps had opened my chart to familiarize herself before walking in a patients room I could have been spared more heartbreak. Needless to say I immediately switch OBGYNs.

It was the worst experience I have had inside the united States. She told me I have to deliver my babay early Bc I'm diabetics and no one including her in the office explained to me the meaning of inducing , they kept giving me meds for 18 hours and then she said I have to do C-Section and she did so. She asked the nurses to turning me left and right many times and that caused the cord start wrapping on my baby's neck, that was the reason of doing C-Section. When she was doing all of the bloodwork and ordering the unltrasound I never had acces to my test results. She had done the circumcision on her own after my husband signed the paper work she didn't wait for my husband to attend the surgery and my baby circumcision is not good. Horrible experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Bad. She doesn't care about you. Seems annoyed by your concerns, no bedside manners. I was standing up for the 5 minutes she talked to me.

Horrible!!!! Dont go here!!! Staff is unprofessional and youll never see the Dr. only her APNs.

Dr. Maria Keanchong and her staff they care about their patients. I do recommend her. She is my Doctor for the past 20 years. Most of ladies in family go to her and never had complaints. I recommend you to my friends.

She is a very professional.

Other reviews were right. All they want is money. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

i'm a current patient of dr.keanchong. ive had multiple pregnancies and chose to try her out because i wanted a new obgyn. and wow do i regret it. the doctor never asks how im doing or how im feeling mind you im 32 weeks pregnant. she just reads my chart and tells me to schedule my next appt. doesnt ask me if i have any concerns.. when im there i just feel like im wasting my time. im so mad that im too far into my pregnancy to change doctors. my life is in this dr hnds and she doesnt value it.

She is by far the worst doctor I've ever seen!! Do yourself a favor and don't schedule to visit. She walked into the office unprepared as if she never reviewed my chart before, she came off very cold distant, unpersonable and unprofessional. Maybe she should look into retiring or better yet find another profession.

I was referred to Dr. Keanchong from a friend and past midwife as I wanted a new OBGYN that delivered at HUMC. She is a wonderful doctor and knows what she is doing. She is very direct and to the point so if your the type that needs a doctor to hold your hand, then shes not the one for you. She was calm and delivered my baby successfully. I would trust her with my next delivery.

I loved her!!! She explained things to me in a way no other doctor ever had. She was honest maybe too honest but I understand that she is not there to yes me to death. She made me see how I was part of the problem... I appreciate her candidness. Office. Is beautiful and clean. I have been her patient for 9 years. The nurse practitioners are very nice and good. I trust her advise very knowledgeable.

If you are looking to find an experienced and compassionate doctor during your pregnancy then Dr. Keanchong is the doc. She helped me through a difficult pregnancy with my first, and in future pregnancies I will definitely return to her. When she wasn't available her nurse practitioners were able to answer all my questions. The office staff is wonderful and always accommodating.

Do NOT use this doctor ever! She does not care about her patients. She only cares about making money and doing it as fast as she can. There are plenty of good doctors out there, Dr. Maria Kean-Chong is not one of them. She is horrible. Run as fast as you can from her before you regret ever meeting and trusting her. Dr. Kean-Chong should have her medical license taken away from her. Very bad doctor!

Dr. Keanchong has been my ObGyn for the past 14 years. The patient care she provides is nothing short of outstanding. Her medical knowledge, compassionate bedside manner, and ability to balance personal interaction with and professional expertise make my annual visits to her office a pleasant experience. She took great care with the delivery of my youngest and my hysterectomy a few years. I am a fan of Dr. Keanchong and her wonderful staff and consider it a blessing to be her patient.

I will never recommend this Doctor to any one.

Made me sit in waiting room while bleeding heavily & crying from miscarriage. Finally took me in & talked happily about how many weeks along I was and took out their chart. I said again I am miscarrying! Rcvd voicemail a week later urine still testing positive for pregnancy I had to come in. I thought my baby was still living. on phone they clarified that was not what it meant. I almost had a breakdown. I never met dr. once in 3 visits only nurses. she called 3 weeks later to check on me.

I'm very happy that I chose Dr.Keanchong and she will stay as my OBGYN. This was my first pregnancy and I was very nervous on who to choose. She and her staff were very helpful and caring during my pregnancy. They will gladly answer or help you with any questions you need.

She is absolutely fantastic! Thorough and beyond knowledgeable. Makes you feel comfortable and is very approachable. Takes her time explaining things. Wonderful professional!
