Dr. Maria Jurado, MD

Dr Jurado is experienced and has a well connected network. She spends time with you and explains well. However the staff is disorganized, the office needs some serious modern equipment and the waiting area , long waits at times over an hour, is small and very 1970's, cheap looking. She will retire soon so if you are looking for a new doctor walk away

Not surprised to see other 1 star ratings on here. Dr. Jurado seems great but her staff is atrocious and incredibly unprofessional. Asked to have someone in the room and the son who works there made a disgusting comment saying that the reason for the request was only to make sure he wasnt going to molest anyone..? Super weird. That's only one of the snide comments he always makes. I'm sure the only reason he works for his mom is because no one else is willing to take him in with an attitude like that. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else.

I have been going to Dr. Jurado for over fifteen plus years. She is kind, professional and listens to everything you have to say and explains and write down everything and refers out to other doctors if needed. I have referred so many friends to her. She is through and more than qualified on all medical issues. I would highly refer her. When you go be prepared to be there for a couple of hours, because that's how through she is. the time she spends with you is well worth the wait.

BE CAUTIOUS! Doctor Jurado is amazing, however, the staff is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional! Went into the office to review my bloodwork and had questions which were not answered during that appointment, so as a follow-up, I called the office and spoke to Dr. Jurado's son, Kent, who informed me that she would call me to go over my question regarding the dosage of a vitamin I wanted to start taking. As a result, I was charged for an office visit for a minor 5 minute phone call, which was basically to ask for recommendation on a dosage for a vitamin. Upon calling the office to speak to the staff, Marta (who is extremely unprofessional) stated that it would be fine if I chose not to come back to the office and that she would not allow me to speak to the office manager, Kent. Absolutely unprofessional in nature and no experience in speaking with customers. I would NOT recommend this location. Clearly, I'm not the only one making this complaint regarding the unprofessional staff.

Dr. Jurado and her staff are amazing . They always return calls and Dr. Jurado takes the time to explain things and spends time with her patients. Wonderful primary care MD .

The last time at was at her office, she had giving an order for an MRI for a hip pain that I’ve been dealing with, for over a year . Unite health has declined the MRI several times for lack of information, even though I’ve been dealing with the pain for over a year now. I called the office and the person in charge of the office is now the Dr son who is totally controlling all of the office matters, I called and try to explained about the MRI situation, and advise him that the Dr would need to do a peer tot peer call, I was really absent because he immediately indicated the Dr does not do that. I was so desperate trying to explained that I was a patient for over 10 years, and that I think that the Dr would need to do this for me. To my surprise today July 11 I received a letter advising me that they have the need to withdraw me as a patient.. This guy is making her practice a horrible place.. Since he has control of the Office he does not allow her to be the nice caring Dr she was..

Maria is by far the best doctor we have ever experienced in South Florida.Both I and my husband have her as our primary.She is smart,thorough,compassionate, caring and takes her time explaining everything.She even draws pictures to help you understand better.Her visits are never rushed and she makes you feel like you are the most important person in the world.She has been practicing medicine for over 40 years ....she is truly a medical genius!!!!!!! We cannot say enough about her and her staff(Kent,Marta and Catalina) Everyone is very accommodating courteous and professional.We highly recommend this incredible lady and her entire office staff!

I've been a patient of Dr. Jurado for over 11 years. Even when I moved over 35 miles away, I still make the drive to rely on her care when I'm out of balance. She provides great advice and is open to my preference of using supplements and nutrition when it's a viable alternative to medication. She is very well informed and takes the time to answer my questions. Because she takes the time necessary to address a person's issues, there might be a bit of a wait to see her. Trust me, it's worth the wait. With her guidance and care, you won't be disappointed.

Try to avoid this office. The staff in the front desk has a really bad attitude and they are really unprofessional. This is my first time complaining about any service but I am so upset with the service of that office that I decided to write this review.

For the past 25 years I have been going to this physician as much as possible. The only constraints have been distance and time. She keeps up with current medicine and talks to her patients to individualize treatment.

Love Dr. Jurado! She gives you information above and beyond what doctors typically do. She really cares about her patients. Front Desk staff could use training in good bedside manner and how to speak to patients. Customer Service is key to keeping your customer.

JUST LOVE HER AND THE WHOLE OFFICE.

They stopped accepting my insurance, even though I called and confirmed. I waited 45 minutes and then they took me in and I was told they weren't accepting the insurance. Her staff treated me like cattle. Now I'm on two strong medicines with out any doctor to over see the medication or tell me if I should stay on it.

A old style Dr that cares allot and looks into all aspects of your life and believes in natural ways along with 20th century medicines. A gem.

Excellent, caring, one of the best Dr.'s I have ever gone to. She takes her time with you... Which is why the wait is so long... But it is always worth the wait. Never left the office disappointed with the service. The only thing I would suggest is more help in the office. Dr Jurado is so amazing. I could never go anywhere else.
