Awful
I was in the hospital for 22 days and it was a UCLA hospital, the doctors at UCLA tried to reach her several times, my wife tried to reach her several times and she never called back. On my way home from the hospital, she called me and said she was sorry she didn’t call me back, but she said I needed to understand that she had lots of patience and I was just one of her patients. This is not uncommon for her since during my four years with her she never returned calls. She never refilled prescriptions. I had to call her several times to get labs ordered, and she was very dismissive of everything I told her. while I was in the hospital due to her lack of response. The physicians at the UCLA hospital told me to find another physician because they would not allow me to leave the hospital without having an appointment set up. I am very happy with my new physician and would warn anyone within miles of Hamilton to rethink their options because she is just awful !!!

Fails to listen and is dismissive
I'm sad to say that I concur with the negative assessments of Dr. Hamilton. She failed to listen to my description of my health, listed erroneous information on my medical chart, and has been resistant to correcting these errors. This has led to a lot of unnecessary work on my part to try to rectify the situation.

Lack of knowledge and bedside manner
During the visit, Dr. Hamilton failed to answer most of my questions. The way she talked showed no empathy and care rewards the patient. What even worse was her lack of basic medical knowledge. I would suggest avoid her to save your time and money

I wish I had checked Maria Hamilton's reviews before selecting her as a doctor. Her bedside manner is truly appalling. I have had several consultations with Dr. Hamilton. On each occasion she has failed to listen and accurately report down in the notes what I discussed on each visit. The nursing and admin staff in this department are wonderful though!

Dr. Hamilton has been my PCP for years but has no clue who I am or about my health. Her conversations tells you she has not reviewed my chart & does not know my conditions. I have a serious condition & each visit she asks what I have because she is not prepared. She recently told me, "I can't believe that you don't have any children." A rude & insensitive comment to make since she previously referred me to UCLA's Fertility Clinic where I received a year of treatments but was unable to conceive.

I found Dr. Hamilton's bedside manner to be atrocious. She would speed through the consultation and test. She lied about performing a test that she did not perform. Had to call office many times to get a callback about results. When I asked why she would not return my calls, she stated she was busy. She was very unprofessional and/or incompetent.
