Dr. Maria Gonzalez Ferrua, MD

She was the on call OB when I went to the hospital having contractions. She induced me and checked on me frequently. My baby had some unforeseen complications when I was contracting and Dr Gonzales explained everything to me in a way that wasn't terrifying and was very comforting when I needed to make difficult decisions. I'm beyond thankful for her.

Dr Gonzalez is an awesome doctor I started seeing her when she first came to West Valley Office and I sure can say she has been Awesome. I have struggled with fertility for sometime and out of no where I was 23 weeks pregnant and scared but Dr Gonzales kept assuring me that I’ll be ok. She delivered my daughter MeiLani on Dec 19th 2022 and had to do a c-section and she even did an amazing job on my surgery and after care as Well. She was always a call away if I needed anything I’m truly grateful for her.Thank You Dr.Gonzales keep doing an awesome Job.

We have been working with doctor Gonzalez for a couple of months now and she delivered my son yesterday. She is truly an amazing person and doctor. She has always been compassionate, kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her to anyone in the SLC area looking for an OBGYN. If you read her bad review it should make you think more positive of her. She was late to an appointment because she had to deliver someone. That person needs to get over themselves. She was awesome.

I started going in my early first pregnancy which ended in a loss and continued with my second. Which resulted in a healthy baby and successful c-section. At first I felt rushed during appointments but once I started bringing my questions forward with the nurse or just saying, I have questions before she left l, it really turned things around and I was given her full attention and had all of my questions answered. She often remembers details about my life and my husband's life and that makes it all feel very genuine. She's great doctor,and I plan to follow if she leaves the current practice!

Entire office is without compassion. Go someplace else.

When Dr. Gonzalez came in to do my appointment, she said she was called and had to go deliver a baby, so I was her last appointment. She did my pap smear and then commented that she couldn't see my IUD strings . She very briefly felt for them after briefly looking. Without doing any other investigating, she told the nurse to schedule me for an ultra sound in 6 weeks (which, I found out when scheduling the appointment, would cost me $300). She then rushed out of the room without asking me if I had any questions or advising me on whether or not I should take a pregnancy test (which, really, she should have done during the appointment) or use a backup form of birth control. I was disappointed that she didn't spend more time and effort to locate the strings, give me time to ask questions, and advise on what should be done regarding pregnancy test/backup BC. Instead, I ended up canceling the ultrasound, buying myself a test and scheduling another well women exam with another provider.
