Dr. Maria Dongas, MD

I have had a neurologist since 1990 but he retired. I was so afraid I would not ever find someone to hear me and understand my health issues. I was happy to find that Dr. Dongas was that person she was very intelligent about my syndrome. She never doubt it what I was telling her about my body. She treated me with the utmost respect and kindness. Tell me not to hesitate to call the office or leave her a question in the portal. Is that what you want with the ideal doctor! She was my very first neurologist. I had this Doc for over 10 years in lived in Dickson Tn. for about 2 years. I moved back to Nash Tn. So for about 8 years I drove from Nash to Dickson Tn. 90 miles round trip. She opens a. Office in Nashville Tn. I get a letter in the mail saying she drops me as a patient. WOW all of that driving from Nashville to Dickson & I get a letter in the mail box!! She left that small town & made it to the city. That should show anybody the loyalty.

Both the nurse and Dr Dongas took very detailed notes. She asked from the beginning of my symptoms to what I was feeling that day. She listened to what I said and did a exam of my body so I could tell her where the odd feeling started. She explained her thoughts and told me what tests she wanted done and why.

Lady doctor Dongas is very smart but kind and thorough ! Dongas asks questions and gives you time to answer them.

I was promptly seen for my appointment, and Dr. Dongas spent a very adequate amount of time with me evaluating my health and symptoms as well as giving and explaining recommendations.

I hope you never need to see an Neurologist but if you do, I highly recommend Dr. Dongas. She has been an amazing help to us as we have been taking care of a mom with Alzheimer's.

Dr. Dongas is extremely thorough. She takes so much time with me every time I see her. I could not be more satisfied with any other doctor.
