Dr. Maria Chacon Horn, MD

I fell hard. Broke my wrist and had a one inch gash in the back of my head. At Immediate Care they took X-rays. Dr Horn said it showed no break. When she returned she said my wrist was broken after all. The splint put on went all the way past my first knuckle. Very uncomfortable. I saw an orthopedic surgeon the next day and he applied a much smaller Velcro splint. No surgery. Just 6 weeks in this removable splint. What really hurt was the 4 staples Dr Horn jammed into my head gash without ANY pain relief before or after. She said it was not her practice to soften my pain! Very cold bedside manner and very rough with my injuries. I went to a different Immediate Care facility to have my staples removed a week later. That PA was very gentle and it really didn’t hurt at all. Dr Horn works at many different Immediate Care facilities. Why?? I think she doesn’t qualify as a doctor with returning patients in an office or a hospital. Don’t let her touch you!!

Avoid this provider at all costs. The minute she walked into the room it truly seemed as though I was a disturbance to her day. Zero communication, empathy, or listening skills. Worst provider I have ever seen in my life.

I thought she was awesome. Very thorough and compassionate.

The worst doctor I’ve ever seen, hands down. She came into the room eating something, which was very unprofessional and disgusting. She clearly hadn’t even looked at my chart. She flipped over the paperwork on her clipboard without even looking at it. Had no idea of the symptoms that brought me in. Dismissed all my concerns. The discharge nurse ended up calling her back because of so many missed concerns. AVOID her at all cost, it will be a waste of time, money, frustration and pain. Awful.

Dr. Chacon lacks communications skills, listening skills. I would not recommend her. We had a bad experience in a Emergency room. A time she should of shown more compassion to a family with an injured child

I met Dr. Horn at Rush Copley. Dr. Horn was extremely knowledgeable with her care for me. I was so impressed with her empathy and ability to help with my situation. Well done.

Did not listen to health concerns, did not follow through with treatment plan, did not take responsibility for staff's actions.
