Dr. Vigilar is an EXCELLENT psychiatrist, full-stop. - Assigning a star rating to mental health pros is odd; to what degree does a low rating reflect struggles of reviewers upset that in a "McDoctor" culture s/he wasn't given a pill on Day 1 to solve the problem? "Consumers" expecting a doctor to "fix" their issues quickly, then indignant that the Doc alone was unable to do so, deny the overall quality of services & benefits ultimately received. My point? Be wary of low ratings from struggling people. - Dr. V. was the first Doc to accurately diagnose my "issue" in 30+ years of me seeking answers. She researched the meds, ordered testing & included ME in treatment planning, empowering ME in my issue resolution(s); I am on a journey to best health. It does not get much better than that, folks. - Dr. V's an excellent PARTNER in diagnosing/treating mind matters; I proudly/confidently offer my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION, without reserve. - Good luck in YOUR journey - pls be patient!

Doesn't listen to the patient or diagnosis and overprescribes. Because of her my child turned into a zombie with long-term memory issues. She prescribed more than an adult body could handle, let alone a child.

Nothing but bad things to say about this doctor. She’s rude, condescending, and threatens you if you’re 10 minutes late, but makes you wait 45 minutes in the waiting room to see her. Horrible experience.

Practice is very poorly and unprofessional run with terrible customer service. The communication from the management to patients borders on harassment.

We had seen four doctors prior to Dr. Gonzales-Vigilar with less than satisfactory results. We are extremely pleased that we finally found Dr. Gonzales-Vigilar. She came up with an effective treatment plan and spent over an hour explaining the different options and the science behind the medication. We would highly recommend her to any patient struggling with ADHD!

Outstanding. She has a real knowledge of the medications she is prescribing and doesn't over medicate. She does genetic testing to see what meds work best for you so there's not that guessing process. Her goal is to get you safely off meds if possible not put you on more. She also emphasizes the importance of therapy. Very easy to get a hold of and very responsive to emails.

I agree with the comments from the person from sterling. We found Dr Vigilar to be narcissistic, dismissive and just grasping at straws with medications. I would not recommend her to anyone with mental illness

Doesn't listen, is dismissive of my issues, suggests things I've told her wouldn't work, thought I was bipolar because my depression sometimes lessens. She upped dosages of my meds and added one and then wanted me to go to a hospital JUST to get me off the meds. Insincere and doesn't seem to care, and makes me feel like my problems don't matter. Would NOT recommend.
