Dr. Margaret Smollen, MD

In a lovely house filled with beautiful artwork, Dr. Margaret Smollen gives excellent care every time I visit! She is efficient with her time and also gives me her full attention in a pleasant, reassuring manner. I highly recommend Dr. Smollen to women of any age and feel very blessed to have her expertise in my "senior" years. I also appreciate the receptionist who is friendly, organized, and helpful with scheduling.

My visit with Dr. Smollen was rushed and she seemed disinterested, probably because I was the only patient in the waiting room who was over the age of 35 and/or not pregnant. She brushed aside my concerns with the "that's just your age" excuse and failed to truly listen to my concerns. When I continued to ask questions, her response was to simply refer me to a different doctor for some random tests that didn't even seem to relate to my symptoms. Very disappointed and felt as if I paid out of pocket for nothing as I received absolutely nothing from this appointment. No suggestions. No encouragement. Nothing but a bill.

As a new patient I waited 20 minutes or so over my appointment time to be seen. Dr. Smollen seemed to be in a hurry to get my exam done and over with- spent maybe 5 minutes with me. I will not be returning.

Dr. Smollen is extremely professional and patient when you have questions. She is up to date on new information and forms a great professional bond with her patients! Delivered 5 weeks early and she was great at talking me through everything and keeping me calm. Will definitely go to her for subsequent pregnancies! Never had a better experience with a doctor.

Dr. Smollen took a lot of extra time to talk with me about my concerns. It was very helpful in understanding what would be happening from beginning to the end.

She really knows what she is doing. She delivered my son May 2015, and was great!

I researched Dr. Smollen & read many reviews prior to scheduling an appointment & have been disappointed thus far with my experiences with her & some of the staff. I felt there was a lack of communication and an unwillingness to take extra time to explain and answer questions. Also at times I have found the staff to be unprofessional such as carrying on loud personal conversations in the reception area, eating in the exam area & clothing with obvious pet hair on it.
