Lumpectomy
Dr. Chen is such an amazing doctor not just in her skill, but as well with her humanity. Many doctors dont have that today, very cold & transactional not her. Her and her team made everything so easy and as stress free as possible. The incision is just about invisible - which she stated and explained to me, & she did not lie! May God continue blessing her and her talented team.

Wonderful Doctor
Dr. Chen is so kind and patient. I was diagnosed with breast cancer (IDC). She took her time with me to explain my diagnosis and treatment options fully & clearly. She performed a bilateral mastectomy on me and the procedure and outcome went extremely well. The entire office staff is very friendly, helpful and caring. She is a true expert in her field and I highly recommend Dr. Chen.

I had breast surgery performed by Dr. Margaret Chen and the experience and outcome were excellent. She is a superb Doctor and surgeon. Both before and after surgery, she takes the time needed to give you all needed information, answer any questions and makes you feel extremely comfortable. The follow-up care has been excellent. Her attitude is upbeat and caring. Her support staff (PA, nurses and admins) were all professional, helpful and cheery. I highly recommend her to anyone needing breast surgery.

True Artist
I went to Dr. Chen for a breast tissue fibroadenomatoid excision. She explained the procedure with knowledge and compassion. She assured me that there would be no visible change from one breast from the other. After the procedure not only did I feel no pain, 3 months later you can hardly see my scar. I would recommend Dr. Margaret Chen. You are definitely in good hands.

Excellent Breast Surgeon
In April 2024, I was devastated when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I immediately contacted my physician at Optum, Dr. Ronald Cohen, who referred me to Dr. Chen. I met with Dr. Chen in May and immediately knew that this is the doctor in whose hands I can put my trust. She is vivacious, effervescent, candid, knowledgeable, highly professional and competent. She thoroughly reviewed my case and explained the most optimal treatment for me. She performed my surgery at Northwell Health in June 2024 and the outcome was excellent - just as she had explained to me - minimum scarring with little pain. The surgery after care she arranged for me was exceptional. Her PA - Charisse, her nurse - Angela and all of her administrative and support staff were always very professional, helpful and comforting. I am grateful to Dr. Chen and all of them for their warmth, care and compassion. I would highly recommend Dr. Chen to anyone who can benefit from her skills as a breast surgeon.

Outstanding surgeon
I had surgery with Dr Chen in July and I am very happy with my results. Had my follow-up with her today, and she was very thorough with her examination and explaining everything to me. I had a great experience with her and my surgery minimal, scaring, and I feel great. I am very happy I decided to do the surgery with her. If I had to do it again she would be the one that performs it. I would recommend her to any women that is having doubts about doing surgery. I was one of those people, and she made me feel comfortable every step of the way. Her and her staff Thank you!

Worth patients’ trust!
Last June, I found a nodule on my right breast during a physical examination, and the puncture showed 'atypical hyperplasia'. Dr. Chen did a surgery for me. Before the operation, she explained the details which made me fully understand the condition and dispelled my concerns. The operation went very smoothly, everything was as expected. The selection of the incision location and size fully considered the aesthetics, and autologous fat was used to fill the local area. At present, I have recovered very well, the scar is tinny thin and will fade over time. Unfortunately, cancer cells were found in the postoperative pathological examination. Dr. Chen patiently explained that since the cancer cells in the nodule had been completely removed during the operation, no surgery was needed. I only needed to take Tamoxifen orally and have a check-up every six months. I am very grateful to Dr. Chen, who gave me timely and effective treatment. Dr. Chen is worthy of patients' trust!!

Thank you Dr. Chen.
February 1st, 2024 Dr. Chen performed breast surgery at St. Francis Hospital for me. Dr. Chen explained the surgery process to me very professionally before the surgery and comforted my nervousness. After I woke up from anesthesia after the surgery, she detail explained how is the surgery and precautions afterward. When I went back for a follow-up visit two weeks later, they also told me in detail how my recovery was going and how I could recover better in the future. It has been three months now and my breast is recovering very well. Dr. Chen’s skills are very good. You can’t even tell that I have had surgery on my left breast wound without paying attention. I am very grateful to Dr. Chen for treating me like this professionally and seriously of patient like me. Thanks!

Dr. Chen is an amazing doctor and surgeon - caring, knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy. You feel respected and she's neither demeaning nor too rushed when you ask her questions which is very helpful when you're dealing with concerning health issues. Surgery went very well and scarring is minimal, which is amazing as I'm prone to complications and scars. She and the other staff (PA, nurses, receptionists), are all very friendly and helpful post surgery with follow ups and questions or concerns. You will feel safe with Dr. Chen.

Dr. Chen is an exceptional care giver
Dr. Margaret Chen's confidence was a great 'first impression'. She immediately calmed my fears, answered all my questions and helped me to face my breast cancer diagnosis with hope. She and her staff were efficient and encouraging. Surgery was successful!! If I did have to wait I did not mind because I knew that Dr. Chen was giving the next patient the same attention she gave me!

Calm During the Storm
Dr. Chen is smart, caring and patient. Being diagnosed with Breast Cancer was one of the most scariest moments in my life, and when I met Dr. Chen her calmness helped eased my anxiousness. She explained the procedure clearly that she was going to perform, along with everything I would have to do leading up to it. On the day of my surgery, she walked me through it again, and when I woke up she was right there with me. It was really pleasant being in her care. I highly recommend Dr. Chen.

Simply the BEST!
I went to see Dr. Chen because I was experiencing bleeding from my nipple. She fit me into her schedule ASAP and had me in for surgery shortly after. I had a breast duct removed that was the source of bleeding. Biopsy revealed it was cancerous"ductal carcinoma". She then had me do a genetic test for BRCA 1 & 2 genes, which confirmed BRCA 2. Next step given that confirmation was double mastectomy. That was hard to hear but Dr. Chen was amazing about it all kind, compassionate and reassuring that my cancer was caught super early. She took her time with me, answered all my questions, handed me tissues to wipe up my tears and was just a beacon of positivity. I feel truly lucky she was in my corner through this experience. She made a horrible reality bearable. She has made sure I will get to take my 50th birthday trip of a lifetime even though I had breast cancer. I also absolutely love her laugh it's infectious. I can't thank her enough.

Dr. Chen
One of the few that I would highly recommend, as she's very thorough with what she does. Dr. Chen takes the time to make sure that you understand the treatment plan, next steps, as well as what the best course of action to make sure you can make the most informed decision. The flexibility of having 2 offices to visit also helped with being able to reach Dr. Chen when we needed to do so.
