He explained everything very well and I am very pleased with both procedures that he performed. I had total knee replacement done on both knees and it feels amazing to be able to walk again. I love my new knees.

Wonderful new hip
Pre-op was caring and informative. Operation went smoothly. I appreciated the implements they sent me home with to assist with socks, shoes, etc. Post-op visits were helpful. Overall, it was a great experience and it is wonderful to be pain-free!

Awesome Surgeon and Team
Dr. Coe and the awesome team at New London Hospital's Knee Replacement Center Of Excellence - performed both R and L knee replacements for me 8 weeks apart. The same day surgery center was terrific, the team very skilled and listened to my goals for post op. I'm happy to say that following my last surgery - I was back out on the bicycle trail 10 weeks post op!

Best orthopedic surgeon around
This was my third ankle operation, first from Dr. Coe. Very skilled. I wish he had done the first operation, I wouldn't have needed the other two! We are lucky to have him at Dartmouth!

Adequate surgeon, but horrible patient care
I had surgery for my ankle and after a few days was in pain, but not where I had an incision so I called the office and they just prescribed more pain medicine. Come to find out, once they took my cast off I had a pressure ulcer. I never felt heard as a patient by Dr. Coe or his staff.

Great experience
Dr. Coe took the time to address my concerns and ensure that I was comfortable proceeding with the surgery. He made himself available to talk by phone and squeeze in an unexpected appointment to check on post-operative progress. I felt that Dr. Coe was very knowledgeable and was able to explain the procedure and outcomes with transparency and a touch of humor, which was appreciated. Thank you for getting me walking again!

Dr. Coe replaced my left hip in 2019 and I am awaiting surgery on my left. I could not think of a better doctor to do this surgery. If I could give him 10 stars I would.

I had a serious surgery 5 years ago on my right foot. I had a major infection that threatened to take over and the possibility of amputation was in discussion. Thanks to Dr. Come, and his team, he was able to put me into surgery for a bone biopsy, diagnose and treat my infection, and manage my pain. He quite literally is responsible for me being able to run, hike and swim today. I thanked him several times and again, say thanks Dr. Coe!!!! You restored my quality of life by giving me a chance!!! I will be eternally thankful.

Egoccentric, arrogant, rude and unprofessional are the words that immediately pop in my head...lacking empathy is another. Guy stopped "learning", and thats never a good sign when he clearly "has it all figured out", and comes off as nothing more than ignorance versus intelligence. Dartmouth Hitchcock used to be my recommended instate medical facility, this guy sealed the deal and done. Something tells me Ill get the treatment I need in Boston, my original preferance. TAH

I went to see Dr Coe regarding a corrective surgery for my foot. The idea was to shave down a metatarsal head in order to relieve pressure in an area prone to chronic ulcerations. He suggested completely removing the metatarsal head, which empirically would've caused significantly more damage to my foot. I left and saw a great surgeon in Boston who agreed with my suggestion. After the surgery in Boston my foot is doing great! Dr Coe would've absolutely destroyed my foot. I would not recommend...
