Dr. Marcie Levine, MD

Dr. Levine had been my primary care Dr. for many years. I hadn't needed to see her for several years, however when I experienced a gallstone/kidney stone emergency and needed an x-ray I called her office to schedule an appointment. I was told that I didn't see her often enough and Dr. Levine is no longer my primary care Dr. So no appointment for me. I'm 75 years old. I did not want pain meds. I wanted an x-ray and maybe a referral. I got neither. Find someone else that has maybe a spec of compassion.

I was a patient of Dr. Levine when she worked at Valley, unfortunately due to insurance I was not able to follow her to Stanford until recently. She has been the only Dr. that listens to ALL concerns & doesn't hesitates to send you to a specialist. Because of this/her i overcame many illnesses. I have now found myself at an unhealthy point again where Doctors just do not listen and think "you" know your body. Cant wait to see Dr. Levine again for real medical care.

She is rude and extremely unprofessional, she prescribes medication such as steroids without confirmation of diagnosis. I will shut you up if you question her decision. Would not recommend to anyone who is looking for quality care. Not really sure why she has such high reviews on Stanford healthcare webpage, while everywhere else her reviews are terrible.

She ordered tests that I didn't need, as I found out when I read about when such tests are generally recommended. In other words, she didn't ask questions that would have led to her screening the tests out.
