The Very Best Doctor
Yes I did wait over an hour to see her, but once she was in the room she examined me and checked all my test results. I will wait all day to see her! She is outstanding and answered all my questions.

Excellent
She is very willing to do everything possible to help a patient get better and doesn’t rush you out of the exam room. She is quick to contact specialists if she thinks there could be another issue. I highly recommend her.

Great Doctor if you are willing to wait
I have seen Dr. Franklin for about 20 years. She was also my mother's PCP. I can't say enough great things about how engaged she is with her patients. When my mom was in the hospital in Plymouth she would call me each evening to review any and all tests, new drugs, etc. Dr. Franklin found a glaring mistake from the urologist who told my mom she was stage 4 because it had spread to her lymph nodes. He never compared the current test with one from 3 years prior that showed her lymph nodes exactly the same. It's just how they were. She absolutely always runs late - about 1 hour. That is because she spends time with each patient as they need it. Healthcare mandates scheduling appointments ever 15 or 20 minutes. No good doctor can treat a patient in 15 minutes! I would rather wait and know my doctor cares about my health more than the health care and insurance companies

No longer my PCP
I've been a patient of Dr. Franklin for 5+ years, but I'd never actually had an appt with her until my annual physical this year. I've always seen Emily Michael & Michael Kelley in the past and had pleasant experiences. When I arrived for my physical I was promptly checked in by the front office staff. I waited approx. 15 minutes until a nurse showed me to the exam room and took my vitals. She informed me Dr. Franklin was with the patient prior to me, "so it shouldn't be too long." I waited in the exam room for an additional 45 minutes with no contact. No check in. No update. 1 hours and 15 mins past my appt start time and I still hadn't seen the doctor. I walked to the front desk and informed them I would not be waiting any longer. The front office staff was not the least bit surprised (says A LOT) and offered to rebook me, to which I said "no thank you!" If you value your time & your health, Dr. Franklin is not the PCP for you.

I've seen Marcia for the last 10 years and she has been wonderful. She really listens and you can tell she cares for her patients. She has helped me solve a few frustrating medical issues. For years I had a lot of anxiety around doctors because they were so clinical and did not have much patience. I feel 100% comfortable with seeing Marcia and trust her medical advice. It is true that she may not be on time for the appointment and you'll need to wait, but that's only because she spends the time with each patient and you'll receive the same service. It's worth it, just plan for the delay.

Beyond frustrated. I’ve been a patient at this practice for about a year. I had an appointment scheduled for today at 3:30 (confirmed with both text and phone call from office). This appointment was scheduled for this time & day weeks ago after coordinating to get a babysitter so I could go. I showed up, on time, and for some reason I’m not in their system. I show them the “confirmed” text and voicemail. They won’t see me. I asked if I could see someone else or if there is another option.. the receptionist checks with the Doctor and returns says that because I’ve never seen Dr. Franklin the only thing they can do is see me after 5pm. This is beyond frustrating and inconsiderate. They should pay me the $40 “no show” fee to cover my sitter costs!!

Thoughtful when presented with a problem. Runs late because she gives each patient as much time as they need. If you can't stand waiting she is not the best doctor for you. Clinically superb, frequently quotes studies in the medical literature, and seems challenged by complicated clinical problems.

Arrived for a 2 p.m. appointment 15 minutes early. At 2:30 I inquired about the wait time and the secretary, in a matter of fact and very indignant tone, informed me that the minimum wait for a SCHEDULED appointment is 1 hour. In the meantime, an entire waiting room full of people, many who came in after me, had been called in. The office staff was rude and this practice of a one hour wait for a scheduled appointment shows complete lack of respect for her patients.

Marcie is by far the best doctor you will ever see. She is caring, extremely knowledgable and will take as much time as she needs to talk to you and figure out what's going on. Her appointments often run late but when you interact with her you realize why. I would recommend her very highly without hesitation.
