A YEAR wait for any doctor is unacceptable. I work for a specialist as well and the longest we book out is 2 months and that’s because our patients NEED to be seen, as I’m sure Dr. Silverman’s patients do. My son saw her once 4 years ago, she was very thorough and left it up to me if I wanted to try medicine. I never felt pressure. After both of us agreeing to wait 6 months and follow up (or sooner if needed) we never saw her again. You only see her once then they put you with her NP, Lynn. She is fantastic and has been managing my son and his medications very well, if I have any concerns she calls back within 2 days which is OK. The only problem is now getting an appointment with her, she’s booking almost 4 months out. They need to hire another doctor/NP or increase their hour to accommodate their patients better.
