Should not be practicing medicine
I am seeking a new permanent primary care physician under my new health plan.I presented three areas of concern to Dr. Lewis: - I have been previously diagnosed as very close to being diabetic by my previous physician- I have moles that have changed color and unusual dry skin patches that are of concern as melanoma is in my family- Tired and dry feet, with emphasis on the root cause of nerve damage due to a previously broken back ( I had a disc collapse and removed ) which caused permanent nerve damage to leg & foot Dr Lewis ignored the diabetes and melanoma request, looked at my foot and prescribed Epsom salts. That’s it - nothing else.He would not allow me to speak in any way about my previous health history. He did not order blood work as I was a new patient. He did not request my previous physician’s records. He shut me down at every turn, was rude, egotistic, and just got up and walked out the exam room at the 15-minute mark.He has no empathy, no professional skills

I am new to this office. I had stopped going to my previous doctor . Dr. Lewis is very soft spoken. He explains in great detail so you have fewer questions. I never feel rushed. They get you scheduled quickly. The nurses are very helpful and kind.

I have had multiple visits with my parents who go to Dr. Lewis because he is close by and because they hate any change. He doesn't really care if these old people understand him...he doesn't communicate carefully, nor does he write decent notes in their online portal. He basically does the very least possible. My mother is on way too many meds, since an accident and he won't analyze the med list...will only talk about 3 meds at a time per visit. I think he is basically just considering medicare billing, and not people's needs.

Dr. Lewis should not be in the medical field. I am appalled at the lack of care and concern and the false diagnosis given to my dad from Dr. Lewis, which went on for 2.5 months, it almost cost my dad his life. Dr. Lewis basically blew off the severity of dad’s lung/breathing issues, was told it was asthma and gave him medication. Continued breathing issues, Dr. Lewis gave dad an oxygen tank and more meds. Dad showed the list of meds to Dr. Lewis, who glanced and set it aside. Several more weeks, no improvement, Dr. Lewis told my dad there wasn’t much else he could do. Thankfully, dad’s Cardiologist pushed/insisted he see a Pulmonologist, which Dr. Lewis denied twice. The Pulmonologist drained 2.5 quarts of fluid from my dad’s lungs. Working solely with the Cardiologist going forward, extensive tests discovered an aorta valve issue. A non-evasive surgery is planned and dad’s NEW Family Physician cut out half his medications, dad felt better within a day.

Dr. Lewis should not be licensed to practice medicine. His flippant attitude and lack of care and concern to get to patients core issues is deplorable. He drops the ball, he makes judgements against other medical professionals opinions and does not follow through with his own recommendations. His negligence has cost our family dearly. BE WARY.

You are limited to 15 minutes, it's like he doesn't have time to hear what is bothering you and sometimes my questions are not addressed. I don't see him every time I have a problem.
