Worst office staff ever. They never call you back when they say they will. They never follow thru on processing insurance when they say they will. I took my daughter to see if she would qualify for a specific surgery. Photos were taken. We were told they would submit to insurance to see if it would be covered. I never heard from them. I had pretty much written it off. 9 months later I received a call asking if she was still interested in the surgery. They never processed the insurance. I almost feel as though the photos were taken for the doctors own personal pleasure. Then when I tried to pay my husbands bill, I was jerked around. I was offered a reduced rate. All I asked for was a statement showing I had a zero balance. I was told they had to get approval from the "practice manager" because she was the only one authorized to change the files. They were going to "call me in the morning." Its 48hrs later. I'm still waiting for my call. Dont bother, better choices available out there.

Dr. Elkowitz came into our lives when my husband's femoral artery was cut before the doctor even began my husband's hip replace. As my husband had to have two fasciotomies, on his leg, Dr. Elkowitz has, for the past five months, supervised the healing of these openings. He is extremely competent, very sensible, down to earth and can always be reached to answer any questions. Dr. Elkowitz should definitely be considered with any issue re: plastic surgery!! Honest and aboveboard!

I recently had an accident riding my bicycle. I hit the pavement cracking my helmet and cutting open my forehead. It was early Sunday morning so Dr. Elkowitz was at home. He responded very quickly to meet me at the hospital. He did such an excellent job on my head and a puncture wound in my arm that people can't believe I even fell. When I say what happened I have to show pictures on my phone because looking at my head now there are absolutely no signs of any stitches. He is a terrific surgeon.

I would recommend Dr.Elkowitz to family and friends,with my b.r procedure he made me feel safe and I feel better than ever.He is kind and gives you peaceof mind to all questions and concerns,God bless him and his wonderful staff.

Dr Mark Elkowitz saved my life . following a terrible accident which nearly (75%) severed my left hand . THIS GREAT MAN Dr Elkowitz , after 8hrs surgery , worked nothing short of a miracle:luckily he was on staff at nsuh yes , he reattached my very hand ! this kind gentle compassionate and caring doctor/genius also went well out of his way for me during my lenghthy recov and stepped in when house nurses/staff were not etc etc etc i am forever grateful i love you Dr E ! Today , January 23 , 2016 , Dr . Elkowitz iwas called by St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn New York, to look at an infection on my index finger. The New York area was hit with a snow blizzard . He arrived and evaluated the infection and gave various alternatives regarding treatment. After discussing the options , we decided on minor surgery which he performed in 30 minutes. He will return in two days and evalulate the results.
