Dr. Maram Alkhatib, MD

DR. Alkhatib has been both my husband and my Primary Care PA for seven years. She was an excellent and very rare PA. She was very attentive to our needs. She always established a health plan with us and because of her care and concern, we worked hard to make sure we took actions to complete the plan. She made you want to improve your health because she cared so much. She was aware of all of our office visits with the other Specialty Doctors. She responded promptly to our emails. Prescription refills were always refilled when they were due. We trusted her decisions regarding our health! Dr. Alkhatib has been my primary care doctor for almost four years now, despite not being the cheapest or most preferred by my insurance company. She is on-time, she is warm, she is friendly and funny and kind, she laughs at your jokes, she is compassionate and empathetic. I have never had a better doctor - and I just moved, so I have to leave her care which makes me very sad. Finding another doctor who is as intelligent, caring, patient, and real (who also accepts insurance) will be very challenging. Do go see her if you are in Washington, DC and looking for an excellent doctor who you will trust and admire and enjoy being around.
