Dr. Champaneria and his entire team were awesome. The office was super welcoming and everyone seemed to easily make me feel very comfortable without even trying. From the first time i called to make an appointment to actually having my surgery was much faster than I thought possible. Everything went very smoothly from pre op to post op. I’m very happy that I chose Dr. Champaneria for my surgery, he’s very kind.

Dr. Manish Champaneria and his staff were professional, courteous, compassionate and listened to all of my concerns. I had an accident and needed an urgent repair of my ear laceration. Dr. Champaneria had no issue taking care of me right away with a calm bedside manner that made my experience a positive one. The result just 2 weeks later is flawless. Once the sutures were removed, I can't even see any deformity-my ear looks like it did prior to my procedure!I would recommend anybody I know to this Surgeon as he has all the attributes it takes to give the most incredible experience.

Dr. Champanaria performed reconstruction surgery in conjunction with my oncology surgeon. First, he did a right breast reconstruction with placement of a tissue expander, followed by removal of the expander and placement of an implant. I was so amazed at the high level of care I received from Dr. Champanaria and his staff. He is knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate and personable. I am 7 months post surgery and extremely happy with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Champanaria. He is a gem!

Dr. Champaneria is wonderful! I had been contemplating getting a specific procedure for some time, and I finally pulled the trigger and am so happy I did! Dr. Champaneria was incredibly professional, thorough, and empathetic. He walked me through all the risks and complications at my consultation, so I felt completely informed making the decision, and I trusted him throughout the process. Unlike most surgeons, he spent ample time with me, was patient, and listened to all my concerns. The procedure was successful and recovery was so quick. He checked in to make sure I was healing well, even before my appointment. Couldn't be happier with the results!

I was very pleased with my experience for an implant replacement after breast reconstruction. Dr Champaneria really takes his time to address all your questions and concerns from the initial consultation through surgery and recovery. He has a great bedside manner, explaining all the options. I had total trust in him throughout the process, and his office staff was responsive to my questions leading up to and after my procedure.

I had breast cancer. Dr Champaeria made me new breasts. I am very very happy with the results and progress was not painful as I thought it would be. Dr Champaeria is patient, listening, and caring. I am really lucky to have him as my doctor!

This review is way past due, but I will do my best to give Dr. Champaneria and his staff the respect they deserve. Professional. Dr. Champaneria took the time to listen to mine and my husband's concerns before embarking on this breast reduction surgery. I was a 40G with very heavy breast and one side significantly larger than the other. After having my two children, I decided to do this for myself and my livelihood. I couldn't be happier with my results! I am now a 38DD and my shoulder and back pain is non-existent! He made me feel comfortable but most of all he gave me my confidence back. Do not hesitate to pay him a visit, even just the initial consultation will put your mind at ease! Thank you Dr. Champaneria, for giving me my life back!

Dr champaneria is an excellent communicator. He communicates all of his expertise and concerns and listens and answers all questions. He is very thorough and I recommend him highly.

Pretty happy with my results from surgery with Dr. but his bedside manner definitely leaves something to be desired. I felt like he did rush the appointments at times, but he always asked me if I had any questions for him. He can be somewhat blunt and very opinionated about what he think looks best for your body, he also can be a bit rough when handling parts of your body during office visits. Some of his staff are great and very friendly, others not as much.

Dr. Champaneria was amazing! After a long journey of dealing with cancer during the COVID19 pandemic Dr. Champaneria was the light at the end of my tunnel. He and his team provided the best service possible. I appreciated his honesty and expertise. Every time I visited his office he was always willing to listen and answer all of my questions. His upbeat and relaxed approach was perfect! I enjoyed seeing his smiling face (covered by a mask of course) first thing in the morning for my 7:30 AM surgeries. I had breast reduction surgery with Dr. Champaneria. My breasts came out wonderful, and I should have done it sooner. He is a wonderful surgeon.

As a transgender male seeking transitional services, it can be a nerve-wracking and vulnerable experience to navigate the process of top surgery. That said, from the moment I first met Dr. Champaneria at my initial consultation I knew that I was in the right place. He has such a friendly manner and was clearly knowledgeable about all things LGBTQ+. He answered practically all my "planned questions" before I asked them and made me feel respected, safe, and cared for the entire time. He talked me through the keyhole procedure he was going to do prior to surgery and the actual day of surgery ran very smoothly. I am SO PLEASED with the results. SO HAPPY!!! At my subsequent post-op appointments him and his staff continued to be very personable; they really made me feel special and proud of my new chest. Any questions I had, they were there! If you are FTM or NB and are looking for a caring, informed, and skilled top surgeon, 10/10 would recommend!

Dr. Champaneria is an extremely talented surgeon. He has an artistic eye that made my lips look beautiful when he injected Filler! I am so happy with the result and he has a great bedside manner too.

I immediately felt comfortable at Dr. Champaneria's office with the COVID-19 precautions set up and the pride flags at reception. I also appreciated his gender neutral language! My carer came in with me to my pre-op appointment, and Dr. Champaneria used they/them pronouns with them without being told that they were nonbinary! (Also, the nurse Mary is a total sweetheart! I'm going to miss her once I'm done with all my post-op visits.) He listened to all my concerns, answered all my questions with great detail, and calmed my nerves the day of surgery. It was scary to go under the knife for the first time, but I knew I could trust Dr. Champaneria and everyone else in the op room. Every day I look in the mirror, I fall in love with my results. I would absolutely come to him for any other transition surgeries :)

Dr. Champaneria is probably one of the best doctors I've ever interacted with. He truly took time to listen and to answer ALL of my *many* questions. I had double incision top surgery and felt cared for and respected every step of the way. I was incredibly pleased with the overall experience. I would (and do) highly recommend him to anyone who wants top surgery in San Diego. I was also very pleased with the office/Christina's responsiveness and the nurses I interacted with.

After receiving my breast cancer diagnosis, I met with a team of doctors at Scripps to discuss treatment options. I decided that a bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstruction surgery was the best solution. My oncologist referred me to Dr. Champaneria and it was a day he was out of the clinic, however he didn't hesitate to meet with me. We spent significant time together and thoroughly answered all my questions. He explained every detail, showed me pictures, and helped me understand the process. When I left his office, I felt more knowledgeable and confident with my upcoming surgery. I knew he was the ideal doctor for me. Not only is he an outstanding surgeon, he is also a compassionate person who quickly gained my trust. I found his staff to be friendly, professional, and punctual. I am extremely pleased with my surgery and I could not have asked for a better surgeon and overall experience. I highly recommend Dr. Champaneria without reservation for your reconstruction surgery.

I highly recommend Dr. Manish Champaneria as not only a gifted surgeon but a valuable and important member of my breast cancer team at Scripps. Dr. Champaneria was referred to me by an excellent surgeon, and although I did not know him, I am extremely happy that I was lucky enough to get the “Champ” for my reconstruction. From the very first appointment after I was told I needed a mastectomy and through three surgeries and recoveries, Dr. Champaneria has showed empathy in diligently explaining the procedures and options and answering every question. My last surgery was postponed due to COVID-19. When a surgery date was obtained for me in May 2020, I refused it in fear, but Dr. Champaneria contacted me personally to explain the COVID-19 procedures and made me feel comfortable that the surgery would be safe. Last but certainly not least, every person on Dr. Champaneria’s team in all of his offices are wonderful, helpful and encouraging. Thank you from my entire family.

Dr. Champaneria is BLESSED with so many incredible gifts and for that I am grateful! I had a ruptured implant that needed immediate surgery. I knew nothing about him, but he made me feel so confident in what he was going to do. His bedside manner is exceptional! The implants I have now look incredible. Like I said he is gifted! I highly recommend him!

Dr. Champaneria and his staff made a mentally difficult procedure (mastectomy) as easy as possible. You are faced with MANY decisions throughout this process and Dr. Champaneria always takes the time to discuss thoroughly any questions and concerns. The office staff is great. I never had to wait (which makes a difference when you have SO many medical appointments). And, most of all, I'm super happy with the results.
