Wildly Unprofessional and Innacurate
Telehealth
As somebody who has been dealing with an ongoing condition, I've definitely met my fare share of indifferent doctors, but there's indifferent and then there's flat out rude an aggressive. After receiving a clear biopsy from her and double checking with her that it meant I didn't have a specific disease, I booked a virtual visit with her to discuss my concerns with her 7 months later. She immediately scolded me for booking a virtual appointment when that was all that was available for her. She then proceeded to dismiss my suggestions for treatmentBut possibly worse of all, she suddenly reversed her stance on my clear biopsy from earlier, suggesting now that I could have the disease, just from (what I understand) is an extremely rare genetic disorder, and just decided to throw more medicine at me. I went to her for reassurance and instead I got sent into a panic spiral. Please, if you value your time, mental health, and your money, find another specialist. She's wildly unprofessional.

I’m shocked, but I echo all of the negative sentiments in other reviews. Rude, curt, no bedside manner, and unclear if her impediments led to accurate and appropriate diagnosis and plan because her after visit notes are clearly inaccurate.

Fantastic doctor and team
My experience with Dr Mehrazin was and continues to be very positive. I went to her with some disconcerting symptoms and she treated me with respect, kindness, and professionalism. She is probably the most empathetic doctor I have seen. Also funny and sweet. Yes, she likes patients to be on time, but that means she respects your time as well. I have no hesitation in recommending her as a neurologist. She and her team at NYU are fantastic.

Wildly unprofessional
I have never pretended to know more about medicine or best practice than my doctors, but Dr Mehrazin didn't take any of my migraine history or input on my experience seriously. She told me I was wrong when I shared that I had breakthrough pain and then seemed annoyed when I tried to clarify my experience to help her understand. I literally cried when I walked out of my last visit with her and I'm not that delicate. To top it off, she didn't preauthorize my ongoing injection treatment with my insurance and left me with a nearly $3000 bill because she dropped the ball. Save yourself the suffering and stress that I have tried to endure with her and find literally ANY other doctor.

Dr does not listen, Quick to dismiss your symptoms
The other review on September 11, 2023 is identical to my experience with this Dr - Almost to the letter, shame on me for not reading first. Find a different Dr. Perhaps she has become embittered with the system after years in it but nonetheless, has no empathy and too busy to make time to listen to symptoms, & quick to dismiss them. Perhaps she should consider a research position where she doesn’t have to deal with people. I am an educated professional whose symptoms have made it impossible to do my office job, including memory loss, I was desperate for help and made to feel like low-level trash. Told me my previous diagnosis was wrong but yet could not come up with one on her own. Her solution was to have me see 3 or 4 other specialists who said they could not help me. Now I even doubt the results of the tests she took, and has the audacity to have her minions tell me to come in for another visit. I have now wasted another 5 months.

STAY far Away!!!
The worst I was ever treated by an office and by a doctor. If I could give negative stars I would!!! I was refused to be seen because I was ten minutes late. I’m sorry it took me almost three hours to get there, life and traffic gets in the way and shouldn’t have to be penalized for it!! Never have I been denied to be seen and had to be rescheduled four months later for a problem that is effecting my everyday life. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy!!! Disgusted!!!!!!! Stay clear!!!!! Go somewhere else!!!!

Cancels after 3 month wait, can't reschedul
Beware booking with this doctor. In July I booked her first available, Nov 2. In mid-Sep they called to cancel because she was going to be 'at a conference.' I said that I wanted to reschedule, so they said they would call me back later that day. They never called back. When I finally got ahold of them 3 weeks later, the next available was in January, 6 months after I originally scheduled. I'm trying to have them look at a new condition that I feel is urgent. They wouldn't take into consideration that I scheduled in July, that they cancelled, or that they never called back. They said they had 'no availability' - meanwhile she had no availability to attend a conference on Nov. 2, but that didn't stop her - she managed to schedule that while fully booked.

DO NOT see this doctor
I don’t typically write reviews but if i could save someone from going through the same experience i did with this doctor, i felt i needed to write it. She was extremely disrespectful in the appointment, does not listen to you or your symptoms, did not have my best interests as my doctor at heart, and found she was just running me through unnecessary tests to get a reimbursement check. She poked holes into my appointment to try to find a story or reason to put me into unnecessary tests. If you do decide to go through triple check her notes that she writes from the appointments, they are not always accurate and even upon request to update them more correctly to your symptoms she refuses. Please do your research for a neurologist who cares about your well being and advocate for yourself. Luckily my roommate works in healthcare and was able to help me find a better provider.

Poor Patient Experience – Sep 11, 2023
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Mehrazin?
If I can give this doctor and her staff a big zero I would do it with no questions this doctor is constantly disrespectful of my time and she’s unprofessional she gave me appointment to do the EMG test and made me do it 4 times and she never seem me do it and didn’t do it for me. The past times I’ve went to the office to my appointment they lied to tell me even though I have a very serious problem and she needs to see me to figure out if I need surgery asap. Since the past 3 months she’s refusing to see me with no explanation.
