Dr. Mahnaz Mellati, MD

It was worth it to track down Dr. Mellati after she left her previous clinic to start her independent practice. She is competent and efficient, never rushed or condescending. Her knowledge about the various concerns I have is obvious. I especially appreciate her common-sense approach to care, not pushing a medication or procedure unless it is warranted. I highly recommend her services and expertise.

I've been a T2 diabetic for 30+ years and have worked with several endocrinologists. I've been seeing Dr Mellati for 2+ years while she was at the Polyclinic and since she started her own practice. She is pro-active, compassionate, highly knowledgeable, and listens carefully. She is very well-informed as to fast-moving and advanced treatments and medications and successfully moved me to a GLP-1. I have dramatically reduced my insulin (85% less than I was taking), significantly lowered my A1c and moved other numbers positively (even before the GLP-1). She is one of the best healthcare providers I've ever seen and would strongly recommend her.

Dr. Mellati is one of the few doctors that cares about the "whole picture" of care for the patient. Her commitment to detail and ability to figure out the best treatment is outstanding. I have also been very impressed with her ability to gather information from other doctors to piece the puzzle together to figure out other issues that may be going on and then being able to communicate so clearly and concisely what she found and how to fix the issue! I will follow her wherever she goes. She has made such a difference in my life and wellbeing.

Dr. Mellati provides the perfect combination of experience, intelligence, passion, commitment, and care. She is deeply invested in her work and is one of the best doctors I've ever visited. In addition to using her expertise in endocrinology to diagnose and apparently cure my condition, she also consistently communicated with me at every step of the way, educating me in a way I could understand. Her curiosity and passion also shined through in every visit, reviewing my data, asking questions, listening to my experiences, and communicating her thought processes. She gave me confidence because, in addition to her knowledge, experience, and expertise, she consistently paid attention to details, treated me as an individual, and seemed to always actively consider new possibilities and possible unknowns. I'm very satisfied both with the outcome and process and have the highest confidence and trust in Dr. Mellati after being her patient over the last year.

Doctor Mellati is the best endo I've seen for my type 1 diabetes. She really cares, is forward thinking, and has helped me improve my control immensely. She is super friendly too and has a great bedside manner. I feel like she really cares and listens. 5 stars!!!!

This doctor decided that my extreme emotional and physical fatigue was mental illness not anemia - I insisted it was iron deficiency- I had to fight for an appointment and fight for a blood test- and it came back with a ferritin of 9- I was seriously ill and anemic - she never apologized for her ignorance about iron deficiency anemia nor has she changed the record about the illness- Nor did she help me arrange an infusion. She was very neglectful- I was sick an extra two weeks because of her.

Dr. Mellati is exceptional - She's forward-thinking, proactive and really helped me understand my underlying glucose dysfunction deeply and ways to manage it during pregnancy. Highly highly recommend.

Fantastic!! For the first time in years i am in the 7 zone for A1C in less than three months! I ateuggles to stay in the 10 zone with two insulins on very high dosages--i am thrilled!

Dr. Mellati has been helping me with my various issues and I find her to be very thorough and smart. She is approachable and seems to be very interested in my well-being. I’m so happy she’s my doctor and I highly recommend her.
