Very Fortunate Dr Behboodikhah gave me new life
Dr. Behboodikhah always has a genuine smile whenever I have seen her and meticulously goes over my latest tests and sincerely asks how I’ve been. Twenty-three years ago she inserted my defibrillator pacemaker after I had a complete cardiac arrest. Ever since, she has adjusted my medications and recommended procedures to give me the high quality of life I have had. She follows my remote defibrillator checks from home and once detected that I was going into A fib and had me come to the office that day for meds and a new prescription. She has also called to adjust my meds if she becomes aware of a better dosage from the literature or my tests. In all my years I have seen nothing but efficiency and smiles from her, her staff and other patients waiting or coming and going in the office. I’ve learned that many of my friends at church are gratefully being treated by her as well. She is The Best.

worst doctor
I have been a patient of hers for many years. I haven’t seen her in over two years. Recently I was experiencing heart failure and wanted to use her again. The assistant requested I bring medical records so she would be up to date. To make this short, I went in and was subject to verbal abuse with my medical records basically thrown in my face. She said she couldn’t see me, that my insurance was bad and verbally abused me. I tried to explain but she said she had three patients waiting. She scribbled out a note on a prescription form that said I needed a pacemaker. She told me to go find another doctor and that I should be at Kaiser although I did have other insurance. I was more than cordial yet I felt sick and scared when I left. I drove to Kaiser where they admitted me. A while later I had open heart surgery. She completely missed the diagnosis and I’m lucky I made it. I will be filing a complaint soon. I secured another Hoag cardiologist who was fantastic. There were witnesses.

FANTASTIC DOCTOR!
In 2015, I was diagnosed with Afib. The first Doctor I was with for a year plus was not able to truly address the situation. Dr. B knew exactly how to treat Afib. By the end of 2017 and upto the present day, my Afib is completely gone. Bottom line: Anything having to do with the electrical part of the heart, Dr. B is the best around. If you want the best, she is it, period.

great doctor
Dr. B is kind and caring and always takes her time with me. She is warm and personable and even asks about my family. I feel very taken care of there and her staff is also very nice. I am sorry that some people have not experienced this but I do not hesitate to recommend her.

Long wait time without any apology. Abrupt, dismissive, no warmth or empathy. Couldn’t wait to usher us out. Have never been to a doctor who advised to “just put up with it.”

I wish I would have read some of the reviews before going into my consult. I was referred by my PCP and was contacted by Dr. B’s office almost 2 months prior to set up my initial visit. I found it frustrating that in that two month period she took no time to research my tests (ekg or echo) which her office ordered, prior labs or tests, or my questionnaire. When she asked me at my appointment about my history and symptoms she immediately got frustrated and said I was not giving her what she wanted for the information. To my surprise she suddenly diverted all questions to my husband as if he was the patient speaking on my behalf! I felt absolutely dehumanized and dismissed and honestly was close to walking out on her. as I gathered my things, she changed her tone and was still directing all questions to my husband. I stayed calm and quiet, but more out of shock a dr. Could be so short and rude with her patients. I’d give a zero star if I could.

Even putting aside her unsettled comportment, this was the most concerning encounter in a doctors office I have ever had. Statements such as; all nuts have sodium in them and all soda has caffeine are not factual. Additionally, her suggestion that eating dried rather than fresh fruit can decrease sugar consumption is also not factual. Considering her speciality, I assume a large percentage of her patients have hypertension. A basic understanding of nutrition is essential. She oddly concluded that I had experienced a heat stroke, not only was there no evidence to support this but I presented contradictory evidence. She remained adamant of this "diagnosis" and repeatedly stated, "you had a heat stroke, you had a heat stoke....". I am concerned for her other patients and feel obliged to leave a review.

She and her staff need a lesson on how to be friendly. She seems rushed and would even take phone calls while I was in the room. If BP was elevated, she would want to prescribe add’l meds. Seems like she was a bit of a pill pusher. Glad I’ve found a new doctor.

As a new patient I very disappointed with Dr. B she always rushed , hands on door ready to leave after 15min of her time. She is rude and she a pill pusher . we will be finding a new cardiologist. Do yourself a favor and find a new cardiologist she is much too busy for her own practice. all she cares about is how many appointments she can get in every day . no way to run a practice and don’t even ask a question she was just shoo you out the door . Good luck

I had a heart attack in 1996, Dr Behboodikhah performed an angiogram and found I was totally blocked and recommended Quintuple by pas, but did not want to do it right away to the contrary of the surgeon, the Doctor sent me home to rest, then had the surgery done a few days later, the operation was a total success, thanks to the doctor and best surgeon. Dr. Behboodikhah has taken care of me ever since. Amazing Doctor, later in 2012 saved me again, just ran out of room to keep writing, bye.

I find Dr. Mahnaz Behboodikhah very disruptive and in a hurry. She makes me feel like I need a second opinion. Very poor bedside manner. I will not be seeing her as a patient again.
