He's a life saver!
Without a doubt, I believe Dr. Ghawji has saved my husband's life. We have seen Dr. Ghawji for 20 years. Prior to triple bypass heart surgery (2003), my husband, a Type 1 Diabetic since age 13, had gone close to 60 years without using any kind of meter to check his sugar, had not seen an endocrinologist and did not trust any of the doctors he'd seen for his diabetes. He was taking too much insulin and had experienced one near-death low sugar episode. He met Dr. Ghawji after his heart surgery and Dr. Ghawji made immediate adjustments to his insulin regime which have been life-saving. On every 6 month checkup, Dr. Ghawji has shown genuine care and given careful attention to any concerns either my husband, or myself have had. Some doctors do not include (or listen to) the spouse, but Dr. Ghawji does. We no longer live in Memphis but continue to drive almost 4 hours to see Dr. Ghawji. My husband just turned 90, a miracle for a Type 1 diabetic - thanks in large part to Dr. Ghawji.

My TSH levels are low and I need guidance on the dosage I should be taking. Dr. Ghawji is unresponsive and it’s very upsetting as my health is at risk. I left a message for the nurse which were supposed to be returned within 48 hours. It’s outside of that time frame and I also left a message on the patient portal with no response.

My husband had a appt. Office called day before to confirm. Our insurance had not paid yet and was told we needed to bring $134.00. When he arrived was told he had to pay $850.00 before he would be seen. He told them what the lady had said the day before, they went back and asked accounting then came back and said tou have to pay $350.00 or you cant see the Dr. He thanked them them and left.. You wait for hours and his fee's are outrageous. Find another Dr. Too busy for you.

This is regarding Dr. G's disorganized staff. I was 30 minutes early for my appointment scheduled at 9:30. I was not seen until 11:15. Dr. Ghawji's nurse asked questions about my height and weight which had been taken & should have been there. 3 times she asked me my date of birth and looked confused. She finally asked me about my blood sugar & my type 2 diabetes. I DO NOT have diabetes. She had someone else's chart. How much did she put in the wrong chart? Scary. Poorly organized staff.

I have moved out of state - they called to remind me of my appointment on a holiday. My appointment was the next day at 8 a.m. There was no way to cancel it, so they billed me anyway. BEWARE. I was a patient for several years, first seeing Dr. Goodman. There is undoubtably a reason why all the doctors left and this one took over the practice. Hmmm. When I saw this doctor, I had to wait, I should have charged them for MY time.

The staff was extremely rude. Billing sent out 1 bill; I manage a retail store & I missed it when the bill arrived. Next thing I get is a collections notice. Called immediately and resolved it. The office will no longer see me as a patient. The billing manager said: "You should have paid this bill 5 months ago." NEVER BEEN TREATED SO RUDELY IN MY LIFE.
