Dr. Maher Ghanem, MD

Dr Ghanem is a very caring and passionate doctor. I have the utmost respect for him and trust him completely with my care. He saved my life over 2 years ago with a major surgery and I can't thank him enough. Dr Ghanem is a very talented and experienced doctor and Thank God I have him on my team of doctors.

Dr Ghanem and his team are knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. I have received excellent care and support from them.

Dr Ghanem is an outstanding surgeon. Very compassionate and caring. He was always willing to answer any questions that I had. Would contact me to follow up on progress of my father. His office staff is very helpful. I would definitely trust him to perform surgery on myself or family if the need ever arises.

Listened to my concerns, explained the procedure. Surgery was a complete success. I can now sleep through the night. No more PPIAbsolutely no heartburn. I was dealing with heartburn for years, burning throat, coughing during the night, loosing sleep. It has literally changed my life. I'm so thankful for Dr. Ghanem.

Had a phone visit set up they called to change date they were fine with the phone visit then the day of the appointment they called to make sure I was ready, they appointment time came no phone call I waited two hours no call when I called him was told he wants to see me. Excellent doctor. Very helpful in helping me understand my condition.

Don't see him. Brother in law finished radiation on November 17. Because of his immune system surgery wasn't supposed to be done for 12 wks. Dr. G did it after only 2 weeks when his immune system was very low. Found a leak in his esophagus shortly after. Dr. G inserted a stent that supposedly "moved" so the leak never stopped until they had to remove his esophagus after he had gone septic. Then Sent him to Henry Ford. When he got there his organs were already starting to shut down. They did all they could but it was too far gone. He died on February 20. He has refused to release any of brother in law's records so far. He is pathetic.

Dr. Ghanem performed a thyroidectomy on my wife. He is supremely competent and has a wonderful bedside manner. He took his time answering all our questions and we are so thankful that such a wonderful surgeon chooses to work in Saginaw! Thanks to Dr. Ghanem my wife and I can continue to live our lives without worrying about the cancer that was growing on her thyroid. I must also say that his incision was small and it has healed wonderfully, if you didn't know she had the surgery you wouldn't even notice it!

Not good. Would not answer questions after surgery. Made no contact with my family after surgery. Has the bedside manner of a stone.

Dr Ghanem is a horrible surgeon. I came with simple appendicitis. He didn't do my surgery right away but delayed for 16 hours until appendicitis erupted and then performed surgery in the most barbaric way. After almost month I still didn't recovered. Never recommend him to anybody.

Did not even need pain meds after appendectomy!
