I do not recommend.
I was not happy with Dr. Mehta since my first visit with her. I had to change Rheumatologists since my wonderful one retired. Dr. Mehta is the only one in Marion. She spends all of 2-5 minutes with me. She will usually just look at my hands and that is all. This last visit she didn't even do that. On my first visit with her she was rude, but I only needed her to refill my meds. I told her about the other treatments that I've had but told her that if there was something else, I was open to it. She said that there wasn't and that 'it is what it is'. I was diagnosed with Hypermobility Syndrome by my previous doctor, who had always examined me and knew me better, since I'd gone to him for years. I was reading my visit summary and saw that her test for Hypermobility Syndrome was negative. I questioned this because Mehta had never tested me for it. She said that she examined my joints and found it to be negative. Again, she never did do that exam. I don't recommend!

Dismissed my symptoms and concerns. Gaslighting young patients by implying that they are lying about chronic pain.

With each visit I have been ignored and interrupted. I still have no answers other than a blanket diagnosis. She hasn't told me anything about what to expect from my diagnosis and when I start asking questions she has interrupted me or just left the room. I've never left a bad review for a doctor before as I'm overly patient and understanding. I will be finding a new doctor for sure.

She has been my rheumatologist for 6-7 yrs. She got my gout under control when no other could. She fought with my insurance company to get the meds they didnt want to give because of expence. Awesome lady. Very smart!!! She tells it the way it is.

Have been going to her for few years for arthritis, recently diagnosed with melanomas and needed to be taken off symphoni shot. She argued with me that my symptoms were not real and I needed to prove to her that without my shot every month, my knee and ankle would swell up to the point I could not walk! I'm 38! Was told she would look into other possible medications that I could use, so I could continue to do my job. 3 months later, I was told to quit my job and take pain pills when needed

Avoid. Slapped me with a diagnosis before we even spoke based on reading my chart. Then told me to go on internet and read about it. red flag. She prescribed a drug that gave me a side effect on the list where it says stop taking it and go to the Er...but brow beat me about my “refusal” to try it? I also have arthritis and am concerned about degeneration in one of my joint studies over the past 3 years. Refused to look at it or discuss I don’t have the main symptoms of what she labled me with.

I saw Dr. Mehta years ago for fibroymyalgia. Not only did help with that, but she also offered other advice that was helpful. I found her open and responsive. She doesn't pussyfoot around. Some may interpret this as being too brusque. I found it be factual and effective.

Please don't dismiss this woman because of her quickness of judgment and analysis. She worked her way thru a very long list of questions I had, and clarified the numerous points I raised in a way that eliminated any potential confusion. In spite of a very busy schedule, she was warm, caring, and, although quick, obviously sincerely concerned about my well-being. I left, reassured with a list of actions I could take to help. Thank you, Dr. Mehta.

She doesn't spend an appropriate amount of time with me. Very rarely says anything encouraging. If I would exercise and lose weight I'd feel better. I've had RA and OA for over 30 years. I've lost 40 lbs. yet all she can say is I need to lose weight. Very discouraging. If I've lost a few pounds between appointments it goes unnoticed. Time to look for a new rheumatologist.

I've only been going to her for less than a year but I find her very friendly and knowledgable. I've RA for 30 years and had to find a new rheumatologist when I moved. She asked a lot of questions and wanted to start at this point in my disease and not go backward. I find her easy to talk to and feel she listens to me. Although I do get tired of her saying I need to lose weight. I know that. It's not going to come off overnight.

She has a very bad bed side manner.. then trying to move both my arms up above my head she asks me why am I crying.. Seriously? I have been in pain for 3 or 4 months straight.. waiting to get a Dr appointment...She tells me I am fine...Nothing is wrong with me. Tell my son that.. when he tries to ply with me or tries to hug me, and I scream in pain because he moved my arm. He looks like he did something wrong.. and I keep telling him that he didn't. That mommy hurts really bad in her arms
