Dr. Macrene Alexiades, MD

I've seen Dr. Alexiades several times over the past 5 years and I can't rave enough about how professional and capable she is. She is thoughtful, attentive and has always fully described her recommendations to me. She isn't pushy and won't do procedures that will look "over done". A year ago, she noticed an unusual mole and she caught and cured my skin cancer. She's truly the best dermatologist in NYC.

Dr. A is an amazing physician in every way. She has treated several family members with a variety of conditions as well as myself over the course of several years. She is accomplished in all facets of dermatology- able to diagnose and treat all conditions as well as make you look 10 years younger. Named as dermatologist of the year in 2017 by Vogue she is well deserving of the recognition. Dr A goes above and beyond in every way!

Doctor Alexiades is very skillful and has an artist's eye as to what will work best for you. She is very straightforward and always takes the time to answer your questions and explain which procedures will (and just as importantly, will not) be optimal for you. She tries to do her best for the patient. With Doctor Alexiades, you always know she has your best interests at heart.

The office is tastefully decorated and clean. Her receptionist and assistants have always been very helpful as well. You will not be disappointed.

at least double cost of other dermatologists in my area and I can't see why. i was disappointed that the common dermatologist in my neighborhood gave me the same products she did. i thought I was paying for something different and better, but what she suggested for me did not work. says her lasers are only ones that 'really work" and that she is "laser expert."

Dr. Alexiades is a warm, caring physician who takes great pride in her profession. I was so lucky to be referred to her during my melanoma journey. She helped save my life. I can't recommend her enough. HZ

Rude, arrogant, overrated and overpriced. Take your hard-earned money and go elsewhere to find a doctor who is thorough, caring, and professional.

Dr. Alexiades is a gifted dermatologist and an amazingly warm, caring person. Her treatments are always progressive and effective. She is incredibly demanding of herself and a perfectionist, never over selling her therapies. Her results are always spectacular. She proactively removed 3 moles saving me from serious future health issues. Her incredible skill left no scars. Her Profound treatment gave me legs I never dreamed of and she cured me of Rosacea. She has gifted me with self confidence!!

Dr. Alexiades has treated me and other members of my family multiple times. She is an amazing doctor and a wonderful and caring person. Even with short notice she has always gone out of her way to make time to treat us. She is by far the only dermatologist I would trust and go to.

I wasn't going to write a review, but I am so disgusted by the treatment I have received at Dr Macrene Alexiades's office that I feel compelled to. I have seen Dr. Macrene on two separate occasions and I have found her office staff to be disorganized. Her office feels like a factory where they try to schedule as many appointments as possible without being meticulous about the quality of her work. Any complaint will be met by a long letter deflecting blame to justify their negligence. TERRIBLE

Dr A is kind and incredibly intelligent. She is an outstanding diagnostician and goes the extra mile for each patient. I found her excellent at lasers and skin cancer screening.

I have had the best results from Dr Alexiades. I have used other dermatologists for years and nobody compares to her. Her skin care products 37 Actives are like magic. In fact, I first bought the products at Bloomingdales & they were so good I then became a patient of Dr Alexiades. I am so pleased.
