Medicine with no compassion. It is the rule!
I am a Lupus patient with an undiagnosed rash that reqd an in-person appt at the MassGeneralBrigham dermatology in Boston. First available appt was months off and at 8:30 am. I asked for another time due to rush hour but no other times were available. I left my house in plenty of time per GPS but traffic and construction were a nightmare. When I knew I wld be late, I called and explained. I was practically in tears. The rule is if you are 15 mins late you will be seen at the discretion of doctor. I was late. The clerk repeated the “rule.” She had no compassion. No kind words to comfort me. Doc agreed to see me but would not complete the exam in full. I’d have to rebook, repay copay and repay to park. Rules are rules. It’s the doctor’s rule said the clerk, not hers. I am 74 years old and am still recovering from a recent hospital stay but I made every effort to make my appt. So, I continue to live with an undiagnosed skin disease but thankfully the rules haven’t been compromised.

It was the worst experience. She was dismissive and made inappropriate, uncaring comments. She would not answer my questions post procedure. I was directed to ask only the staff person who was in the exam room, and who was unable to answer questions.

Poor Communicator
Terrible communication skills. In investigating a rash over the course of several months, she never once explained to me what she thought might be going on. Leaving me to interpret the test results myself. Yet her medical notes say that her diagnosis was explained in full - simply not true. I just couldn't get her to tell me what she thought was going on. I eventually had to go to a different dermatologist in order to get an explanation and understand my options for treatment.

Very traditional approach; Unwilling to spend a few mins to find ROOT cause of my issues, instead just wanted to treat the symptoms. Very frusating because I want to solve the actual problem, not just come up w/ a temporary solution (that only addressed the issue in 1 place where it was occurring; not all of them. She was not thorough in her diagnosis). I tried to bring this up in numerous ways, asking different questions and the answer was always "sure, maybe." I was not listened to. Waste of $

Dr. Baden was highly recommended to me from a friend who has been a patient there for several years. I have now been to her office twice for separate issues that she was able to diagnose and resolved after following her recommendations. She seems to run on schedule which is a nice change from some other specialty offices I have been to in the past. Dr. Baden is a great dermatologist and her staff is always very friendly. Would absolutely recommend her to others!

Terrible experience. Their treatement resulted in burns and permanent skin damage. Dr. Baden reacted to it defensively and unprofessionally. She have never seen me and instead everything is only handled by her technitian. Dr. Baden refused to give appointment to see the damage. Instead she emailed me some unhelpful recommendation of some cream. A very unprofessional practice. Would never recommend them.

She is the worst dermatologist I have ever met. She should retire given that she is unable to keep up with basic medical knowledge such as the side effects of medication she prescribes. She is rude and doesn't have time for her patients even though she only works 3 days a week.
