Dr. Luke Luetkemeyer, MD

Dr. Luetkemeyer was very thorough in getting my background and pain level. He went over my X-Rays with me to show me his concerns. I was very afraid that he, as a surgeon, was going to recommend knee replacements and at the age of 61, I wasn’t ready for that. He told me I was a candidate for surgery, but he recommended steroid shots in my knees to see if that would work. One day later and I can already feel the benefits, which is no knee pain! I was told he is the best Orthopedic doctor in Central Illinois and I believe it. I’m pleased to have a surgical doctor willing to try other therapy before resorting to surgery. I also found out that my dad had been a double knee replacement patient of Dr. Luetkemeyer’s, and his outcome was very successful.

Thoroughly explained the surgery and what to expect postoperatively. Very nice and I felt I was in great hands! Dr Luetkemeyer is a great orthopedic surgeon. Postoperative visit at the office went smoothly and staff efficient and caring.

Dr Lutkemeyer has replaced both my knees in August 2022 and November 2024. He is a competent and professional surgeon with a great team backing him up. After 6 weeks of PT, I am walking well, just need home exercise and walking to increase strength. Highly recommend Dr Luke!

Dr. Luke has treated both of my knees for arthritic pain ( not ready for replacement yet) with Steroid and gel injections. Have been very pleased with his course of treatment as I am pain free in both knee joints.

My most recent visit was great. I got into the exam room very quickly & received injection via Dr. Luetkemeyer. He is always pleasant & listens. He always lets me know what he is doing before it happens & discusses future treatment including knee replacement. The staff is always very helpful as well. I never wait too long for service.
