Office staff
I have been seeing Dr. Castillo for over 30 years. He has always been excellent in explaining things and I have trusted him with my life. However over the past year, his office staff (his wife) completely ignores voice messages from me when I request refills on prescriptions. I leave message after message. This has caused me to go without medications for extended periods. The last message I left last week begging them to contact me has been ignored. I unfortunately have to find another doctor.

Dr. Castillo has been my Doctor for 31 Years. I was a teenager when he first treated me and I am now 45. He is the reason I have never moved from Texas because I am extremely aware that Medical Practice is just that - a "Practice and an Art". He is a Wise Practitioner as well as a Talented Artist - by far provides the best of Care available. I owe my Health and my Life to him many times over. When I see a rating that does not reflect the previous statements it is hard for me to imagine the reason. Throughout the years he has continually sought current Medical Knowledge, better "best pratices", and worked non stop -(I mean that very literally)- to provide superior care for me. He has always treated me with a kind, compassionate disposition, an understanding ear and always with the wealth of Wisdom that comes from years of experience and the pursuit of Medical Knowledge. I am extremely fortunate and even more Grateful to have him as my Doctor.

Dr. Castillo has been my ID doctor 25+ years. He takes time to explain his treatment plan and responds to all my questions and concerns. He has.a very warm, comforting bedside manner. If you want the BEST, I highly recommend him..

Very arrogant, rude and dismissive. He refused to explain anything to me and when I questioned him, he acted put out! He made me feel like I should feel lucky that he blessed me with his presence - even though I paid him a LOT of money. His diagnosis was wrong also. Waste of time and money.

I have been seeing Dr. Castillo for around a year now. He is extremely patient, compassionate and considerate. Never rushes you through a visit and will take the time to explain everything until he knows you understand completely. His office staff is just as wonderful. I would highly recommend Dr. Castillo to whomever needed an Infectious Disease doctor.

Arrogant, rude and condescending. He actually said to me "I hate to burst your bubble, but the two strains of staph you have are nothing". Like I wanted to be sick for three years! He contradicted himself in two separate phone calls. I recorded every horrible encounter and phone call I had with him. His staff was nice but appeared to be afraid of him. Understandably so since he treated me like dirt. Once I asked for my medical records, THEN he was nice. NO THANKS! Beware!

Very comfortable with this doctor from the moment I met him. Also has one of the highest scores on this site I've seen. Glad he's right down the street from me also. Gave 4/5 for scheduling because after bloodwork next available was 4.5 weeks. Not sure if that's normal or not
