FAKE REVIEWS?!
Staff is awesome but, Acosta was awful! He's got a terrible bedside manner, not friendly at all, and no smile. After the endoscopy I was asking him about the results and it was strange because he seemed to get offended and acted as if I was challenging his results? So apparently there was a lack of communication on his end. With the terrible stomach pain I thought for sure I had an ulcer, after that is when he got angry and told me 'it's not, I just told you everything was clean'! He also told me he could not see my Gall Bladder with an endoscopy and I needed to go back for an ultrasound. I searched online and asked my PCP and yes, you can see my Gall Bladder with an endoscopy so he lied just to charge for another test and visit! Most doctors today are scummy, rude, dishonest, and are professional drug dealers! Are there any truly good caring doctors that know what they're doing? The 5 star reviews seem suspicious almost FAKE!

Dr. Acosta is the most caring doctor I’ve come across in a long time. He takes the time to understand what is happening and go through all your available records before setting out a treatment plan. He is extremely thorough and detailed which means you are going to get the care you need. After 18 months of suffering and tests with other doctors I made it to Dr. Acosta and he found out what was wrong with me in only 2 visits. I can never thank him enough for seeing me as a patient and not a dollar sign. If you are looking for a top notch GI doctor he is your guy.

I had been told I was not a candidate for reflux and hiatal hernia repair. Dr Acosta (2nd opinion) referred me to an excellent surgeon who did the repairs. I highly recommend Dr Acosta.

Excellent expertise. A very thorough practitioner and diagnostician, I would wholeheartedly recommend. He took great care of my husband and found his cause of heartburn.

I came to Dr. Acosta for some ongoing debilitating heartburn. He and his staff were extremely friendly and professional. I felt comfortable and well taken care of. Dr. Acosta kept me informed and up to speed during every procedure and step of my treatment, and explained all of my options and potential outcomes. I would recommend him and his team to everyone in need.

I was referred to Dr. Acosta by my primary care physician to follow up on issues from routine lab results. Dr. Acosta spent a great deal of time with me to discuss possible causes/conditions. He was thorough and very patient in explaining everything and answered all my questions. His office staff is very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Acosta.

Completely dismissed my concerns and symptoms. Jumped right to a procedure and then when that didn’t produce anything related to my symptoms he wasn’t willing to further investigate or help.

Very patient and understanding, he LISTENED thoughtfully then came up with a recommendation that had been overlooked by other docs in the past. It seemed to help my situation. Had a procedure with him, he took the time to visit before AND after to explain his findings. Highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Acosta took over a very popular practice and I was very fortunate to have been referred to him. I am not an easy patient to please , due to fact , I do go prepared to ask questions and get good feedback. Dr. Acosta wants you to ask questions and he is excellent in giving you answers and options. I have an unusual health issue and Dr. Acosta is trying to get me healthy again. Not all patients have good options, and I can tell he hates this. I recommend him highly. Dr's are human too.

I was able to see Dr. Acosta shortly after he started his practice in San Angelo. The first time I met him was right before a procedure. He struck me right then as someone I could trust. Since then I have found him to be extremely compassionate and kind. He takes the time to explain the information in a way that is easy to understand without sugarcoating or talking down. I feel very fortunate to have him as a physician.
