I arrived to the Chippenham pediatric emergency room with my one year-old that had a fever of 103 for three days and cold symptoms. This lady literally just looked at her and told me that she looked perfectly fine when I have been in the Pediatric medical field for 10+ years and I knew something was wrong with my baby. I asked if she could look in her throat because she has been vomiting she told me that her throat looked perfectly fine And then I asked her if she can look in her ears she also told me that they look perfect then I told her that she most likely has strep because she had all of the symptoms. She continued to tell me that it is most likely a virus and should go away on it's own, she did not check her for anything no testing was done and I was sent home within five minutes. The next morning I take my little one to her PCP and I was told that she has a massive ear infection and strep throat so I literally just wasted my time going to the ER.
