Went to see Dr. Watkins for my glaucoma and he told me that I was a perfect candidate for multifocal lens transplant surgery. What a joke. He could not even place the lens in the right place. He repositioned the lens after 1 month and it was still not in the right place but never would admit it. He just said he was "Trying" and then he said "Sorry". After almost 2 years of dealing with this I finally was able to have a new lens implanted and it was done right the first time. During all this time my glaucoma was hard to control. The reason was the lens was rubbing against the inside of my eye causing inflammation. My glaucoma is now under control and I also found out that I should have not paid to have the surgery done by him in the first place since it is a medical condition and my insurance would have paid for it.

My daughter had a visit with Dr. Watkins today. The great staff- Jessica, helped us alleviate a major billing error; Chris, infectious laughter and vision specialist. We arrived before our 2:30 pm DARS exam which began an hour later and left at 5pm. We saw Dr Watkins all of 10 minutes—reviewed chart, examined eyes, said nice to meet you, and left. Chris did most of the talking and completing her paperwork. My daughter was diagnosed since an infant with ocular albinism from numerous Houston Eye and University of Houston eye doctors. Yet, they disagreed with albinism.
