Dr. Lorraine Fogel, MD

I went in for coughing, etc. Got a Covid Test they said was negative. Sent bill for test to Clinical Labs of Hawaii who later called to say it was positive. Hmm… My biggest complaint is they take $125 from everyone regardless of anything. They say it gets refunded after the deductible is verified. What? Excuse me? My insurance card shows zero dollars for Office Visit. The nurse said they don’t have time to look up deductibles but it wasn’t even necessary. So all that is bogus.They show they take BSBS PPO. My insurance company told me it was on me because I paid it. Hmm…. I tried submitting to insurance but without an invoice with the 6 digit office visit code they wouldn’t pay me. All I asked for over the NEXT FOUR MONTHS was an invoice. That’s it! One piece of paper with the code, date amount and patient name. No luck. If you look at other site reviews you will see others have experienced the exact same issue since 2018! Wow!

Well I’ll tell you... Dr Fogel is one heck of a doctor. A no BS tell it like it is country doctor. Not afraid to dig into your body, clear out the old blood and dirt that have been left by a score of other “name brands”. I’m a lucky man today.

HORRIBLE!! Dr. Fogel is RUDE, yelled at me, and then months later when I needed to go to Waimea Urgent Care I was refused treatment because she marked my file as Do Not Treat. I've never been treated so rude by a Doctor. She should be investigated, and looking at other reviews I'm clearly not the only one that has been treated this way by her. And I never write reviews either, but I think others should know to avoid this woman.

The worst experience ever! She is terrible! Absolutely unprofessional, inaccurate, the rudest person we have ever met! She did not let us speak, however we wanted to tell her what is going on with my back, she kept saying "stop talking, I don't want you to talk". ???? Seriously? She was extremely rude from the first second...was like she was upset and angry to being in her workplace. Unacceptable behavior! Staff was nice and helpful. Please if you see her, do not stay, go anywhere else!

My experience with Dr. Fogel was quick, thorough and exactly what I needed while on vacation! Her staff was courteous and friendly, while Dr.Fogel herself was able to identify the skin problem I was suffering from and put me on a course of medication quickly so I could enjoy the rest of my vacation.

Simply awful encounter. Dr Fogel exhibited atrocious communication skills, spoke with condescending tone and verbiage, and as it turned out, was medically inaccurate. Unless you have no other options (Or potentially are a local), I would avoid.

Extremely rude, took absolutely no time to listen. I know it's an urgent care office, but at least pretend to have some sort of interest in your patients concerns. Glad this isn't my PCP!

This is a doctor with integrity. I was happy to go to a doctors office where there were no druggies in the waiting room waiting for their next prescription. I don?t think this doctor tolerates these type of people.

I cannot understand the nasty comments about this doctor that appear here. I went to the Waimea Urgent Care Center with an acute asthmatic attack and was treated by Dr. Sonoda-Fogel efficiently and with respect. She ordered the appropriate treatment, which was administered by an assistant, and then took the time and trouble to go over the steps that I needed to follow to rid myself of my symptoms. It worked, and I have nothing but gratitude to the doctor for the way she treated me.
