That about sums it up if I had to pick three words to describe him. Just wish all doctors were like him. Skilled hand, expert in his field, cares about his patients, gives the truth, humble in nature.

All of my visits with dr.James are always great he doesn’t try to tell you that you need surgery he always tells you straight up about your needs and let you make the choice as to what you want to have done.

Dr. James has done right and left rotator cuff surgery as well as a meniscus tear. Currently he is treating 2issues with my wrist, of which it appears that surgery is going to be my final option after trying other possibilities. He has always given me all the options and we’ve tried everything and only surgery as a last result. He is very easy to talk to and has always answered any questions I’ve had. My husband has also used him. I have and will continue to recommend him to others. The only drawback is that he doesn’t have hospital privileges locally in our Prattville area. With that said, we have always gotten excellent care at Grandview and at the facility in Calera. I hate I have had any issues but am happy that Dr. James is my surgeon!

Dr. James is a highly intelligent physician that deeply cares about his patients and is confident and thorough with what he does. My family has used his services for knee , foot and shoulder surgery and will use him again in the future if needed.

Dr James has operated on my husband and I both twice and all four experiences were great! We recovered nicely, he’s very patient in explaining any questions, and has wonderful bedside manner.

Dr. James is wonderful. After seeing other orthos for a decade, he was able to diagnose my issue and scheduled surgery quickly. I felt like he truly listened to my concerns and addressed all of them.

Dr. James fixed my shattered wrist and most recently a rotator cuff tear. He has always been very easy to talk with. He discusses all options and encourages participation in the final decision making process as far as physical therapy to surgery. I live in Pelham but would go to him in Prattville if needed. I had my surgery at Shelby.

Dr. James is a TOP NOTCH surgeon. He extremely thorough with his exams and not pushy with his diagnoses. He goes above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable moving forward with whatever decision you make. His staff is very knowledgeable, polite, and professional. I would recommend Dr. James to anyone needing orthopedic care!!

Dr. James is outstanding! He was able to specifically diagnose my knee pain. While he is an Orthopedic Surgeon, he did not push me into a "surgical only option". After ordering the approproate tests, he was able to explain, in detail, the multitude of issues with my knee. I was given honest options for course.of treatment, which allowed me to make an educated decision. He was spot on and I was back to my normal actice lifestyle, including playing tennis within two weeks.

Dr. James has operated on my son four times now (most recently today!) for repeated meniscus tears. He has never failed to be amazing, taking the time to talk me through the procedures, his findings and expectations. He has sent biopsies to the lab following three of the surgeries , even talking directly to the lab tech because he questions their decision. I recommend him to anyone having orthopedic issues - super friendly, very knowledgeable and more caring than most doctors I have dealt with!

He repaired a torn meniscus for me. He is very thorough and I like that about him. Will be seeing him for any other orthopedic issues in the future.

I can't say enoughabout the ecxellent care I received last year from Dr. James. Dr. James is so very skilled/competent and a genuinely caring physician and surgeon. I really lucked out when the emergency room doctor referred me to Dr. James when I was treated for a broken wrist. in My surgery could not have been better and through his direction I now am back to 100%.

It is a wonderful Dr. he has treated me for a cyst on my right wrist and for my knee that was injured in a car accident. He is all about being through and treating the patient without having to do major or minor surgery unless it is absolutely needed.

Dr James has completed three shoulder surgeries on me. He is very smart and acknowledgeable on his work. He is also very straight forward and cuts to the chase. Be want do surgery unless needed notl ike other doctors. He is very kind and compansionate and understands pain and procedure. Would recommend him to anyone. Alwo is very outgoing.
