Dr Bartels is one of those individuals that comes into your life and one feels a level of comfort that has seemed to have faded away in today's medical environment. Dr. Bartels takes pride in his work and remains educated in his field with newly performed procedures in treating very complex conditions. Such an impressive and unique man. My daughter was cured of her damaged ear drum because of Dr. Bartels. He patiently discussed our options and we were overwhelmed with sense of relief that what he was telling us turned out to be very accurate and a realistic outcome. And he allowed us a time frame of 6 years to make our decision, while tracking her issue annually to make sure her condition didn't degrade her hearing. And because he is this valued of a physician, yes, expect to wait longer than your appointment time scheduled, he really talks patiently with his patients and never makes you feel rushed. I just hope that God allows Dr. Bartels many more years of his talent and service to us. And I want to also add that his beautiful wife does too. Thank you Mrs. Bartels for allowing your gifted husband to continue his great service to our community and thank you Dr. Bartels taking such great care of my child.

The wait time was terrible. 4 hours past my appointment time. Vestibular PT that was prescribed did not go well for me and Dr Bartel had no answers and referred me back to my neurologist. I lost 6 most in trying to get help for vestibular headaches and dizziness. Not saying he’s a bad Dr but I believe he is overbooked.

Meneire’s disease
Dr. Bartels and his staff are the absolute best. Dr Bartels was the diagnosing physician for my Meneire’s disease. He has treated and managed all of my health issues related to this horrible disease. He has always been extremely compassionate but thorough in all my treatments and testing. There is not another doctor I would ever want touching my ears.

I Love Dr. Bartels! He is extremely patient, kind and knowledgeable. He explains everything to you and I have never felt rushed. He saved my hearing with a cochlear implant and hearing aid. The best of the best! You may have to wait for him but he is worth the wait, they also have seen me the same day I had sudden hearing loss and treated me that day.

Dr. Bartels diagnosed me with otosclerosis and performed a stapedectomy procedure on my left ear in September 2021. I am beyond pleased with the results as my hearing loss was pretty substantial but hearing has been restored. Will be performing the same procedure on my right ear in a couple of months. Dr. Bartels has been informative, professional and friendly through the whole process. He is a fantastic doctor and I highly recommend him.

I have been followed by Dr. Bartels for the last 5.5 years for Meniere's Disease. His treatment completely eliminated my episodes, which were very disabling. When I developed another condition, Vestibular Neuritis, and was hospitalized in 2019, he contacted me himself and adjusted treatment successfully to treat this condition. He is very caring and is an expert in his field.

With the number of people in the waiting room, I expected Dr Bartels to spend 5 mins with me, at the most. It was actually 45 mins! He wasn't in a hurry, and patiently answered all my questions. I guess my only disappointment was that he wasn't able to cure me on the spot, but said the problem would dissipate over the next 6 mos to 2 yrs.

Dr. Bartels is awesome. He was our last hope after two failed ear surgery’s. He not only fixed my daughters hole in her eardrum but rebuilt her a new one and found another issue in her ear tube that was undiagnosed. Seven weeks after surgery and her hearing is almost perfect. She is thriving now!! So thankful we found him.

I made an appointment for a consultation. Two weeks later staff called to ask if I had the MRI done. I said none had been ordered and I did not want one. Coming in only for consult on medical advances for my particular problem. A few days before the appt. staff called asking the same question. I cancelled the appt. Just got billed $50. for a 'no show'. What a nerve! Bad enough staff is incompetent. If only Dr. Bartels knew.

My son had chronic ear infections. Our regular ENT recommended we see Dr. Bartels. After several appointments with Dr. Bartels, my son went from almost requiring hearing aids to about 95% normal hearing. My son will soon be getting the one hole closed from his tubes, the other closed on its own. The journey was long, but the outcome is worth every effort. My son being able to hear at a normal level is priceless.
