Very poor . He doesn’t listen, acts like he could care less about you as a patient. Only cares about getting rid of you in the hospital even though you are still having symptoms and are afraid to go home. I would never recommend this Doctor. He should not be on staff at the hospital in my option and I am a retired nurse.

Argumentative
During a recent hospital stay he was rude when giving test results at a time when i was scared but was calmly asking him a question about the results. Did not seem knowledgeable or helpful and definitely not comforting.

Sarasota Memorial Patient – Nov 01, 2022

We met Dr. Tran at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He tried to prescribe a med to raise blood pressure when my father had been having a history of high blood pressure. The nurse also said 'you can hold that. I also don't understand what he is doing this for'. I had told him that we weren't happy with that idea and he was clearly annoyed I would question his judgement. Then he dismissed him on a Friday night with no blood pressure meds that he had been on prior and that he must see a specialist in order to get them back. His general practitioner said 'thank goodness you were there' and reinstated them. The guy is not to be trusted. Guess no one likes him is why he had to work Thanksgiving.

This was my experience with him at the hospital. He misdiagnosed me. Tried to discharge me even though I could not walk at the time! If he had come in the room to assess me, he would’ve realized this. He called me from the nurses’ station. I asked him questions about my symptoms and told me I had anxiety! I couldn’t walk! I was walking two days prior and woke up afraid I had a stroke. I was depending on staff to assist me on the bedside commode. Hot my head on the bed rail because I could not balance. He had the audacity to ask me what more did he want him to do. I wanted him to tell me why was I nauseous. Why if I lie on my left side I was dizzy. Why did I fall over on the left side. He got mad at me and tried to discharged me. And the paperwork stated that if I had more symptoms then go to the health department! I had to call patient advocacy. Sure be under his care, if you want a death sentence!
