Patient Doctor
Been seeing Dr. Burgess for almost six years. Best doctor I've ever had, patient and spends a lot of time listening to me. I recommend him to everyone.

Saw Lloyd Burgess initially for "panic attacks" that were later diagnosed by a different, more compassionate doctor as microcytic anemia exacerbated by vitamin/mineral deficiency. At the time, I could only describe unexpected heart palpitations. He immediately concluded I had an anxiety disorder and didn't see ordering blood tests as necessary. I welled up in a bit of concern and frustration, and him seeing that I was an Asian-American woman, assumed there was a "cultural difference". I was born and raised in the states, but that is irrelevant in this interaction. He said to me, "here in America, we won't lie to you about your medical health. Are you under pressure from your family?" Completely irrelevant and offensively ignorant statements to make as a healthcare professional. I came to the doctor to get a diagnosis, get blood test results that would speak much more than a white man's biased opinions, and recover from my heart palpitations. Worst medical experience of my life.

Dr Burgess was extremely thorough, kind, and understanding. He shared about himself, which I had never experienced before, and found it very endearing.

I had a visit with dr. Burgess today and i was surprised of His experiences and knowledges. He was very gentle and carefully listened to my situation and that eased out my stress. There are many doctors out there but hard to find one that is care and listen. There was some confusing moments during my exams that i had since he was a male doctor, and i used to see female doctor only but it was ok and he understood. I am glad to be the first one that review him and i am happy to have him at my family doctor.
