Mental Health
When I last went to Dr. Franco, my pediatrician since infancy, she blamed me for my eating disorder. The time before she endlessly praised me for losing weight, even though my mother specifically said she was worried I wasn’t eating enough. I will not blame her for my diagnosed mental illness, but I will confidently say that she was a HUGE catalyst in the progression of my Anorexia Nervosa, which ended up in multiple hospitalizations and a long recovery. I am lucky to be rid of her and now go to a different medical practice completely. Dr. Lisa Franco does not know how to handle mental health, and this could be considered before bringing a child into her office.
