Dr. Lisa Bukaty, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Lisa Bukaty and her Assistant Carrie for years. I have had various skin treatments for basil cell and Moh's surgery in the past for squamous cell removal. All went well and I felt 100% comfortable. I had a recent diagnosis of Melanoma. It initially looked harmless like a normal aging spot. Thankfully, Dr. Bukaty did a biopsy, discovered Melanoma, it was early stage, cut it out two weeks later, sowed me up and removed the stitches today. The pathology report showed all cancer is gone. The entire process was 100% professional. They are great people to work with and they make you feel very comfortable with the care they provide. I view Lisa and Carrie not only as trusted doctors and medical professionals but as friends and I highly recommend them if you are in need of skin care. Mark

I visited Dr. Bukaty for an allergic skin reaction, which she treated me for. During that visit I asked her to treat some brown spots in my face and was informed that insurance doesn't cover it, so I agreed to pay the $150 charge out of pocket. I went back for a follow up to the allergic reaction and the facial treatment, 2 weeks later, and asked her to check the brown spots. I pointed out that there were many more she had missed in the initial visit, and she offered to have them treated, and proceeded to do so. As I was leaving the office, she informed me that I owed an additional $150 for the treatment that she had just completed! I told her that I don't think that she should be charging me again since she had missed these the 1st time, at which point she turned very unfriendly and nasty. I felt cheated and taken advantage of, as I should have been informed that there would be an additional charge, as in the 1st visit. I will not be going back to Dr. Bukaty and do not recommend her.

My first visit impressed me.From Val at the front desk to Carrie in the exam room. The staff is the most pleasant and professional group in the medical field i have experienced in such a long time. Dr Hutton and Dr Bukaty spent as much time as needed to answer all my questions and made me feel as if there were no other patients to deal with except me.

Dr. Bukaty is the best dermatologist I've seen. My husband and I have been coming to her for years and I recommend her to everyone. She is completely thorough, efficient and always makes sure I understand my treatment. On a scale of 1-10 she is definitely a 10.

Dr. Bukaty is an excellent doctor! She is extremely thorough and always takes the time to answer all of my questions and check any area of concern. I know I am getting the best in care and as a blonde in the So Cal sun, my dermatologist is important to me; it's very reassuring that I know I'm receiving the optimum in care. All of the staff are both friendly and efficient, too. I have recommended Dr. Bukaty to many family members and friends over the years, all of whom have had the same experience.

I always find Dr. Bukaty to have a calming presence . I have been a patient for quite a few years, and have been especially pleased with my treatments. Due to the fact that I have very fair skin and had lived in the desert for many years enjoying the active life, I've needed many minor surgeries, all of which have left no scars. i have found scheduling to be easy with the office, and the staff is very friendly. Overall a really excellent experience.

I've been seeing Dr. Bukaty for many years now, and I can only say the best about the medical care she has provided to me. She is always very thorough. She explains everything in detail in ways I can understand. From removing skin-tags to full body exams, to biopsies, she always makes you feel comfortable and put at ease. I would always refer anyone with dermatological needs to Dr. Bukaty. The staff is also very professional and caring. You don't find that in all Doctor offices these days ....

My primary reason for initially choosing her was her extra special expertise in dealing with skin cancer as well as the normal dermatology issues. It has turned out very well! Dr. Bukaty is kind, professional and caring and she knows exactly what she's doing. She was able to take care of several skin procedures in two efficient visits within a few days of each other. Carrie and all of the medical staff are very courteous, respectful, and personable. If Dr. Bukaty happens to be running a bit behind, she is well worth the wait. Dr Bukaty operated on a basal cell cancer on my face. She carefully explained the Mohs procedure, worked quickly and painlessly, and the resultant would has healed perfectly. If you have this problem, don't go to anyone else! Also don't kid yourself that a troublesome growth is going to go away by itself, as I did for a while.
