Careless and inconsiderate
He is pretty inconsiderate and his PA Annie is super rude and dismissive as well. I just find it funny how they charge $400 per visit but the “visit” lasts about 20 seconds.

My visit consisted of a phone call (Tele-Med) from Dr DeGuzman. He was nice; however, I'm not sure he fully understood my complicated medical conditions. I will stick with him, but am leary because I didn't get to see him in person for my first appointment. His office staff are very nice. All-in-all, I would recommend Dr DeGuzman.

I was referred to Dr. Deguzman by my doctor for a colonoscopy. I called his office and was set up with an appt with a physicians assistant. I thought the exam with the PA in HB was excellent. The staff is friendly, and efficient. They set the apt for the scope at the Hoag Endoscopy Center in Newport Beach for 12-7-16. I have to say that I was treated like a VIP start to finish. Dr. Deguzman is friendly and knowledgeable. I had full confidence in him. It all went great.

Very positive experience. Anne, PA, was very patient and helpful. The office was very well organized and 2 MAs met were kind and efficient. Highly recommend and will continue to see this specialist for any future needs.

I had my large intestine removed when I was 19 (39 now) due to ulcerative colitis & was diagnosed with chrones a year ago. To say that I've seen a string of GI's during my life would be an understatement. Sadly, I've had more bad experiences than good. Dr. De Guzman was definitely an exception. He asked tons of questions (most doctors don't) and seemed really interested in understanding my specific case. I was relieved to know that I could keep him as my GI when my insurance recently changed.

The way he approaches end of life is disheartening. I have stage 4 liver cancer. On my last scheduled appt, I waited 1 hr & 15 min to request a CT scan, bloodwork & talk about medication. An assistant talks to him and says he will not order a scan or labs. Questions about medication can be sent to him via the patient portal. After waiting 1hr+, with a distended stomach, swollen feet and severe pain, it's disheartening that I didn't get examined by him and will need to email him for answers.
