Doctor too busy to get to my prescription.
If you are looking for friendly staff and a doctor who cares about your well being, then this is NOT the doctor for you. Not one prescription was correct over the last 5 years at pharmacy pickup. In fact, the doctor denied a prescription saying it was too early. I had met with her 2 weeks prior and my prescription was not too early. The medicine I was on has awful side effects when going off of it cold turkey. Over a period of 3 days, I called the doctor and the staff told me she was too busy to get to my prescription. I had to take a week out of work and could not drive as I was detoxing off of the medicine. A week later, no phone calls, no checking in with me. I am now seeking a new doctor.

Dr. Yorns is my primary care doctor. She keeps my records up to date, works with my specialists and I trust her to manage my medications. She emails me with any questions or concerns I have using the patient portal. She responds quickly since I don’t call her office very often. When I have her staff is helpful. The covid virus changed a lot for her patients.

Before my first visit everyone was helpful in getting me a convenient appointment etc. My first in office appointment was disappointing. I had to wait 45 minutes while she was chatting with another patient. Lots of laughing through the thin walls. Finally she comes in and mentions how I haven’t lost any weight (we had a telemedicine appointment a few months earlier). Every other thing I mentioned she gave me contacts in Plymouth to make appointments with. All of my prior pcp’s would have checked me out and taken care of it there. They don’t even do blood work. There were other things said (sort of sarcastic) and I was rushed out because it was the last appointment of the day. It was also a physical appointment and probably due to her being late for mine m appointment lasted about 20 minutes. I as in the office for 65 minutes saw her for 20. If my memory serves me right a physical appoint should last 45 min. I don’t call her now knowing she would send me to someone else

Dr. Yorns has been my doctor for years. It's impossible to get in sooner than 2 weeks, even when really sick with sinus infections, UTI. Front desk always takes your name, say they will talk to doctor and get back to you. Which can be anytime that day or next. Then they give you appointment for 1-2 weeks out. But, will say you need to be seen in next day or two. So they tell you to go to Urgent Care. Seriously, this has been my norm with this office. Why have a general practitioner, if they never see you? I'm beyond frustrated, wish I had name of a caring doctor, that left time for emergencies, sick patients???

I've been seeing her for about 5 years at one point weekly. I'm always happy to see her. She's right on top of things with my health concerns. I'm so happy to have her as my pcp.

So fortunate to have found a Primary Care Dr who listens and genuinely cares about what's going on with a pleasant demeanor. I never feel rushed and she coordinates my care just as a Primary Care Dr. is supposed to do.

This is the best Pcp I have ever had. She's a doctor of osteo and I have a complex array of problems and conditions, but she takes so much time out of her day & is extremely thorough. She listens intently to every word I say. If I didn't find her I'd be up sh*ts Creek that's for sure. She's not judgmental at all like a lot of doctors she sends you to where ever you're supposed to go to get your problem resolved or figure out what's going on. LOVE HER SO MUCH! thanks for everything yorns
