Do NOT get treated by Dr. Lindsay Jo Sturm
I had a breast lift & implant & areola reduction 3.5 years ago. Since then, “Dr.” Sturm revised my scars 4-5 times, with the most recent revision being about 6 months ago. My scars are still not what they should be. As others have said, instead of clean, thin lines, mine look like someone took a razor and scribbled on me. I lost all trust in her competency as a surgeon. She had the audacity to tell me my scarring was probably due my skin having a protein deficit. Clearly, that’s not the case, not only based on others’ similar experience but based on the fact that I’ve had two other procedures elsewhere and did not have any scarring issues. She tried to gaslight me in that regard and in others. She may’ve had a few successful surgeries, but she permanently closed her practice, Sturm Cosmetics, in Ames, IA, just 2(ish) years after opening it. If you don’t believe the gravity of what others and myself are saying, that alone speaks volumes to her incompetency as a surgeon.

Scribbled scars and square breadt
I had inner thigh lift and breast lift! My inner thighs look like butter top bread loaves, several spots that are scribbled instead of lines, the upper part is so bad my husband (fulltime Firefighter) said it looks like a burn victim! Nothing is even! My breast did get infected, which wasn’t a big deal, but there’s tux everywhere around the breast neither or even one breast is actually square both surgeries I had To have revisions and they still look worse than ever during this revision on the breast, both of my implants were ruptured and when talking to the doctor, her response was well. I can’t make everyone happy. I worked in the cosmetic industry under a plastic surgeon. I know how to care for my body and wound care. This was not my first surgery so to hear that was very insulting. Nothing matches nothing looks normal. I do not believe she should be practicing.!

Disfigured
Beware. My breast lift and reduction resulted in permanent disfigurement. One cut was more than an inch higher than the other and she removed too much breast tissue from one breast (it is now two cup sizes smaller than the other breast in addition to being a couple of inches higher) the cuts on both breasts are visible and scarred horribly after splitting open and becoming infected and necrotic. She took no accountability. The question I received from two plastic surgeons upon seeing my breasts was “Who did this to you?” I have not had the courage to have corrective surgery. The only solution at this point is implants, and that still will not address the visible, extensive cut that is too low and too long to be hidden. DO NOT hire Dr. Sturm. There are so many people with horror stories. Go elsewhere.

Beware...
I had breast aug and a few other procedures done with Dr sturm a year ago. Ended up having to see another Dr to ty to repair her work and unfortunately due to her over cutting the pec muscle, my implant falls into my armpit and can not be fixed. I've sought several opinions from other Drs and been told the only option is take them out for good. The repair they did try cost me another several thousand dollars. When I first had the problem and went to Dr sturm she denied the issue existed and tried to blame the poor outcome on me. This has ended up costing me thousands and thousands of dollars to have a permanent deformity

Terrible results
Had to have multiple lifts done & “fixed”. Which still never held. Nipple reconstruction which resulted in my nipples now pointing up, not even in the middle of my breasts. Both implants have bottomed out& have dog ears, neither breasts are rounded…. Had a wound & stitch open up & never stitched or fixed it so the scar is stretched out way more than it should be. Would never recommend her to anyone! Very friendly & nice but doesn’t belong in the surgical room.

Should had done more research
Sturm is not board certified in plastics like she advertises. Had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation done by her, she gave me symmastia in my breast then told me it was fat. She ruined my pockets so I bottomed out all the time and now have had two different surgeons get me fixed. When she did my lift my nipples areolas turned black with necrosis, as well did my tummy tuck incision. She kept saying it was healing fine.

Needed to Fix Everything she did
I had a mommy Makeover with Dr Sturm a while ago. Results were terrible. Ended up with severe necrosis which she left untreated for 6 weeks resulting in the loss of most of my breasts. Had bad dog ears on my sides as well. Needed full reconstruction of everything she did.

Not the desired results
Very nice , friendly, professional staff but results were not desired and due to the high price of the procedures am not able to pay for more surgeries or procedures to get what is desired. Best to get more than 1 consult prior to committing to a surgeon.
