Dr. Lindsay Dowis, DO

First, I worked in the medical field for over twenty years so I am not 'blind'. Dr. Dowis has an excellent bedside manner, shows great common sense as well as good medical judgement. In a rural area like ours it is NOT easy to find someone like her so it was intially a surprise and now it is apparent that was not a 'one off', she is a pleasant, caring , knowledgeable Doctor. I did make an appointment because she travels between locations, glad I did because they were busy. The ONLY negative I could point out is being a walk in clinic is difficult I am sure but if you are going to offer appointments the scheduler should take the appointments into consideratin, unless there is a real emergency - heart attack in the facility etc. Thank you Dr. Dowis

We recently moved to Dahlonega and were seen by Dr. Dowis on an emergency basis, initially. However, after meeting her and experiencing her quality of care; bedside manner; and professionalism my family was "SOLD"!! She is very caring and always LISTENS to what you're sharing to her!! She explains everything in a way that doesn't make you feel stupid or petty! Her treatments have been "spot on" with all that we've brought to her! We are so pleased to be under her care!

I am a retired physician and as such am rather particular regarding my health care and the provider that undertakes that task. I first engaged this practice on a semi-emergent basis for the treatment of blepharitis. The office was able to see me immediately and provided excellent care and being in need of a primary physician I scheduled a new patient appointment and was impressed with the comprehensive nature that event. Dr. Dowis is personable, professional and knowledgeable. Her bedside manner is excellent and her treatment methods are explained well. On site evaluative equipment (EKG, Xray, blood work, etc.) is state of the art for Family Practice setting. Dr. Dowis has managed my health issues in a manner that has been both holistic and preventative. Her knowledge base is excellent and diverse. The office staff is professional, personable and proficient. After a year under her care I again relocated. The fact I commute the 60 miles to continue care is recommendation enough
