Can Not Recommend This Doctor
I'll start by saying, I've been a nurse for over 30 years, and I have never met such an awful doctor. She has absolutely no bedside manner, she makes assumptions about what your are going to say before you say it and interrupts you before you can complete your statement. She shoots you down before you can even say what your complaint is. She comes off with a know it all attitude, and will be quick to dismiss your symptoms. She did not make a physcial examination (not sure how she gets away with that with today's coding guidelines). And her medical opionion is anything but spot on. She's jumpy, jittery, and laughs inappropriately when you try to express your concerns to her. She has an ego bigger than Texas and is very narrow sighted. I'd be curious as to how many complaints have been filed against her with the Texas Medical Board. If you are needing to see an infectious disease doctor, please, don't choose this one, even if it means you need to drive to downtown Houston.

Go to a different Dr
Dr Yancey thinks she knows everything and says confusion is not part of a uti. Many dr and nurses and myself believe confusion is a symptom of a uti. She will tell you no and to just go home. I have seen my mom be very confused from a uti and once the infection is cleared she goes back to normal. If your infectious disease Dr doesn’t think confusion is a symptom of a uti I would see a different Dr.

This dates all the way back to 2008-2009. I suffered sever colon abscesses that resulted in sepsis and near death. Dr. Yancy was part of a team that saved my life. She is well worth the visit.

Avoid this doctor ... makes LOTS of assumptions, without testing and was completely wrong about my case because of those "assumptions". Find one that actually practices medicine and backs up statements with tests ....
