I had moved to Austin in mid-2013 and needed a psychiatrist. She was the only doctor that returned my calls. She has a psychoanalytic-type practice and works evening hours; this happened to work well for me. Granted, it might not work for everyone. I thought that she listened well and tried to get to know me. Her manner is somewhat unconventional but it was right for me - I found her to be caring and genuine. If I had any issue, she would return my calls in a reasonable timeframe; furthermore, I developed a neurologic disease while in Texas and she took considerable time to call my family back on the East Coast and explain things to them while I was hospitalized. I eventually moved back home, but for a veritable stranger in Texas, she did all I could reasonably expect as a physician. Psychiatrists are personal choices and I can only remark on my experiences with her, but this is my honest appraisal. I hope it helps.

Dr. Taylor cares for her patience. The only feedback I can give, is with her new patients. She will see you and take the time with you, to get the best treatment. I can't say enough, she really does care how you are doing as a whole. Today I was fortunate to have an appointment with her during a time in my life I Needed her knowledge. I am taking a step forward that will help my situation. I feel like I can tell her anything and she will listen. Thank you so much Dr. Taylor, you do make a difference in my life and mental growth. At the end of the session all I wanted to do is give her a hug! She helped me process through so much and never once cut me off on what I needed to get out because of time. You can't improve yourself if you don't put in the work with the treatment . I have been a patient of hers for years now. Can't imagine going anywhere else. Please go there expecting an improvement in your mental help. Thank you Dr. Taylor!

I wish I could give 0 stars because this woman makes you feel unsafe in her care. She makes you wait for hours in her waiting room with no restroom and then keeps you past an hour when you finally see her. I have been there at late as 10:30-11 pm, when my appointment was at 5pm. She made me pay for over $1,000 in lab and EKG testing before she would prescribe medication I have been taking for 12 years. She will only write refills if you pay for an office visit ( which usually can take 5-6 hours of your day). In my session when I was talking about my own expirences of grief she started crying about her father dying. She encouraged me to get off my medication which made me have a horrible relapse. I essentially paid her to show me a YouTube Aretha Franklin video on repeate which was not beneficial to my growth or healing in anyway. What a quack! RUN!

Dr. Taylor is very experienced and has good insights into patients issues. The reviewers on here expect to walk into the office, tell the doctor they're sad and be prescribed something. Dr. Taylor is older, so yes she does go about things more slowly, but she actually tries to learn about you. As another said, she WILL have you consult with other specialties before prescribing medications, because many psychiatric medications can cause serious issues if you have a prexisting heart condition.

This woman is a lunatic and probably self medicating. Both of our meetings together started over an hour late and ran over two hours. She offered no counseling and basically when she was talking it was about how cute her panda screen saver was or how nice rain is. She does not have a bathroom on site and so if you need to go she will send you to the fast food restaurant up the street. This will be a complete waste of your time.

Despite the reviews, which I usually really take into consideration, my insurance didn't have many psychiatrist to choose from so I gave her a try. I figured since I already had a diagnosis letter from my psychologist this would be a simple visit for medication management. Instead, she sent me out to various clinics for testing, took weeks to respond to calls, and wouldn't answer questions unless I scheduled an office appointment. After she tried to send me out for a third screening tests that

Please consider another option if you are seeking help. She put my life in danger. Almost had a visit to the ER from an anxiety attack due to her decision, lack of attentiveness and capability to take care of someone genuinely needing help. I feel like a victim of medical malpractice. She also kept me waiting hours, until 10PM without an update. She did this to run me off and charge a cancellation fee $. She definitely opened my eyes to how corrupt the medical industry can be. Very disappointed.
