Huge waste of time and money
First she tells me she can remove both wisdom teeth in one surgery for ~$600 total out of pocket (after insurance), but she can only move forward if I get a 3D x-ray that costs $415, which insurance doesn't cover. After getting the x-ray, she tells me she's not sure she even wants to remove them and that I should go somewhere else. Then, in the same sentence, she changes her mind and says she can remove them but only one at a time, and there would be a new estimate. She comes back in saying she will only do them one at a time for ~$1900 out of pocket per tooth, and that I may need a 2nd surgery on each side if she ran into complications that would cost an additional $1000 per side. 1 surgery went to potentially 4 in the blink of an eye. When I asked how things could have changed so much, I was told 'this is how it works'. She then charged me $85 for the x-ray consult!? Completely unprofessional on every level, and I'd urge dentists NOT to refer patients to her for this experience.

Not trustworthy
I don’t trust this practice - they are aggressive about making you do oral surgeries whether you need them or not at this time. They are a successful financial business but so not have any aspect of patient care, patient wellness in their culture

So last week I was on a business trip in the San Mateo area, after a Wisdom tooth extraction I had in Toronto a week earlier. I was in an excruciating pain when I called this practice, being one of the closest to my hotel. I explained my situation to the receptionist who asked me to hold on for a minute while she spoke with the doctor. To my utter consternation she came back with the news that Dr Miyatake doesn't consult on a patient who had been treated at another practice. Shocking! Appalling!

I am absolutely gobsmacked to see that dr. Miyatake doesn't have 5 stars. This oral surgeon is one of the best oral surgeons I've seen in my 48 years period She has given me the most relaxing professional kind services I've ever had this is a wonderful Earl oral surgeon never have I ever felt any pain during extractions or implantation of the implant post and she is an overall phenomenal woman in her field and anybody who doesn't see that is blind. Her office staff is always lovely and accurate
