Went to Dr. Liu for a 2nd opinion on the status/health of my thyroid, review of current labwork and diagnosis, as well as additional labtests that were being requested. When I gave my health history & identified my concerns, she disregarded my selfawareness. Thankfully, I was able to get her to order a thyroid sonogram that was suggested by other scans. The sonogram led to a biopsy. When the results came in, Dr. Liu called me in to the office. Again, her manners were very cold and indifferent. She told me I had cancer, that I would need a surgeon, its an easy procedure, meds for life & that I wouldn't need to see her again. That was my 10min cancer diagnosis appointment! She did not go over the full sonogram or biopsy results which also showed issues with lymphnodes and would also need an additional sonogram and biopsy. She couldn't get me out the door fast enough. Very cold, does not believe that patients have selfawareness of their bodies, not someone I would recommend.

Dr, Liu barely listened to my description of my situation, and had a knee jerk response to how to solve my problems, She could not answer any of my questions and even became impatient if I tried to rephrase my question. I can live with the personality problems but her lack of scientific knowledge and lack of curiosity is unacceptable.

Dr. Liu has been my endocrinologist for 20 years. She is very knowledgeable about thyroid and diabetes problems and very thorough in her treatment. She is all business when it comes to your health and that's what I love about her. You won't find a more knowledgable doctor. She is one of the best!

Dr. Liu may be technically proficient, but she has a TERRIBLE bedside manner. She also dislikes speaking to patients on the phone. She doesn't care about her patients and it shows. Her practice is terribly run also. They sometimes don't fill prescriptions promptly (even when medically necessary) and don't return emergency calls. When I pointed out serious problems I've experienced with her practice, she just shrugged her shoulders. STAY AWAY!
