Seemingly Incompetent
I was hesitant to leave this review until I saw that so many others have also had a negative experience. I was referred to Dr. Wang for treatment of a pituitary microadenoma. During my initial visit, I observed Dr. Wang Googling the appropriate medication and dosage to prescribe. Even more disturbing, was her asking me whether or not I thought I needed contrast with my follow up MRI 6 months later. Needless to say I never returned to be seen by her and am now under treatment of my Endocrinologist instead. I would highly advise against anyone being seen by her if they have any other alternative.

“Dr.” Wang
“Dr.” Wang shows characteristics typical of an aging practitioner and her office staff seems tailored to suit. One front desk worker was kind, but everyone in the office seems to quote timeframes they can’t fulfill. “Dr.” Wang will present a “can never be wrong” attitude, speak down to you if you have any capacity to question what’s going on, and then allow staff to code things incorrectly leading to a lengthy run around with your insurance and place of employment.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE....do not go there!
I waited 4.5 months for this visit. Yet they failed to get my medical records from NH. Office staff was rude. Dr. wang was not friendly or caring. She appeared to have made up her mind that nothing was wrong with me. Gave me a mini-assessment and claimed she performed some tasks/questions which she had not. She said she had completed them and I got them correct. Refused to listen to me. Demanded I leave. Overall, very unprofessional.

Horrible experience. unprofessional staff. I went there to see about getting on a different Migraine medication . Spent a hour with her ( which was a waste of time ) had to walk a straight line .. walk in a circle .. why ?? I have migraines, not a brain injury . wanted to know what surgery's i have had in the past . Told me to lower my mask so she could see my mouth and teeth ??? Again why ??? Made me feel uncomfortable, was extremely hard to understand. Very thick accent . Said " if it's not broke , don't fix it " . Also in the last 5 minutes of my sad visit she said she will send a prescription over to my pharmacy . Her or her staff didn't know where our pharmacy was. Really you live in Virginia beach and never heard of Lynnhaven parkway ?? And to make matters worse they never even sent a prescription order in to ANY Walgreens. We expected better from a Sentara Doctor. If you want good care from caring doctor and staff , better look someplace else. Sad...

I visited Dr Wang to possibly identify a genetic disposition for Parkinson’s Disease. I was informed that she would be reporting me to the DMV for a test result that had been done a year previously and indicated a mild memory decline. Consequently my drivers license was taken. I had to go through extensive rehabilitation for impaired driving because of what she reported. When all was out in the open, it seems the medications I was taking were reported to the Dmv as well and were identified as interfering with my driving. After losing my drivers license for 3 mths and so much money spent from having no transportation and waiting for tests to be done I was cleared to drive and my license was reinstated. Beware. If you are diagnosed with a cognitive decline of any kind or you are taking any medication they think MAY negatively affect your driving (ie pain meds, anti-anxiety meds, etc) you may be reported by her as an impaired driver and you are at risk of losing your drivers license.

She was rude, had no time to listen or even pretend to be interested in medical issues, she yelled at myself and spouse, walked out of the room and we had no idea what we were supposed to do or what was happening. Then a rude nurse yelled at us to sit still, we had blood work she had ordered. We had no idea of why, nor did the doctor ever come back to hear what we were there for. Poor bedside manner. Horrible physician!
